This Friday High Note hosts a rare opportunity to see Timepoor’s live set—a captivating, four-piece performance of delicate, swirling loops and washed-out melodies.

Timepoor crafts a sound that feels like it’s drifting in from another room or another world. What started as a solo outlet has grown into a tight-knit four-piece with Luke Coleman at the helm, joined by Cale Sexton, Dylan Batelic, and Jordan Dunster.

Their sets blur the lines between live performance and something more instinctive looped textures, washed out melodies, and moments that hover just out of reach. It’s music that doesn’t rush, but fully pulls you in when it lands.

After just over 12 months, we’re thrilled to share the recording of our live set at Inner Varnika 2023. What a special moment to play under the stars surrounded by good friends and along side some of our musical mentors. It was an absolute scene to perform just after dusk on the first night as people wondered over from their campsites to the stage for the first time 🧡
IV had been an important date in the calendar for some time so was honour to get the call up for the last ever one, taking the opportunity to channel some downtempo bush feelings with the help of a few stiff swigs to help the nerves pre show

I remember being at festivals 19, 20, 21 years old whatever. YOUNG. If you were at a festival and you weren’t at war with the speakers, taking enough drugs to fry an ostrich egg or pumping more nitrous oxide than the entire fast and furious franchise. I may have asked why you were even at the festival. And I truly believed that I would be like that forever, I lived for that lifestyle, I would base my entire year around it. I would quit jobs or “retire” every January to celebrate Rainbow Serpent. People will say “you’re just a druggy bro” na man the MUSIC!! Plus the connection to people and sound systems I felt in my early festival years is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. The mistress I call FunktionOne will always be apart of me, tugging at my shirt like that mate who is shit at FIFA “come on man, one more game.” I still thoroughly enjoy festivals now, just in a different way (sometimes lel). Anyway fuck off enjoy these photos - My favourite snaps from the last few years of doofin with a camera around my neck. Especially #2,4,7 (RIP @inner_varnika) (RIP @elements_festival_) (RIP @rainbowspirithq ?).

‘Inner Varnika X: The Final Thump’

A little while ago Ella and I contributed a documentation of IVX to toBe Magazine. As a keepsake of the piece, I decided to design a small publication.

I made 10 copies - let me know if you’d like one :-)

Some new camera and scratchy scanning and conversion tests from last year. Some favourite photos in these rolls except I’ve probably only scanned 1/3 of 7 rolls, waiting for my patience! Thought I’d share some while I am slowly practicing and learning!
