Lisa & I found this pregnant stone crab caught in fishing line dangling from a pillar on the bridge. It seems like she had been there for quite a while and was completely tangled around every single leg and the claws. @innerlight.lisa

Thank you so much to the couple that helped us untangle her & the other boat that let us use their knife 🥰

Fun fact: a female stone crab can lay up to 1,000,000 eggs in a single sitting! Over a lifetime they can release 10’s of millions. 🦀

Welp. I made it onto a boat this summer thanks to my beautiful friends who wanted to celebrate my birthday! (Even though it was almost about a month ago 🥹❤️).

The truth is that it took me a veryyyy long time to feel like I actually fit into the Yoga or “wellness” community. A lot of the gals in this photo are new friends, simply because (for years), I felt intimated to be their friend…to actually believe that I was anything enough to belong. I am a Yoga studio owner who is still learning that I can have healthy, female friendships. It makes me emotional- and sometimes I still pull away. Self-sabotaging is my usual MO that I’m working on healing & stepping away from.

The Yoga / wellness community can look “perfect” or “exclusive” from the outside looking in sometimes- especially as a woman with some mental health issues involving anxiety and body / eating recovery. ❤️‍🩹 I never felt “cool enough.” I never saw what maybe you all saw or see in me now. But today, I’m giving myself grace- slowly learning that I belong anywhere I feel seen, safe, heard, and respected.
Thank you to all my friends- new & old,
who stick around & love me. I am grateful for you more than you all know.

Ps: I’m not 52 years old today, or 25…a happy in-between. 🫶😂
