🐸🌿 Exploring the Microworld | Ethical Herping & Macro Photography Workshop

We successfully organised a field-based Ethical Herping & Macro Photography Workshop through Eco Hills Organization, giving students an opportunity to explore the fascinating world of small and often overlooked creatures.

Through this hands-on field experience, students discovered something new, developed a deeper appreciation for biodiversity, and learned the importance of observing and photographing wildlife responsibly. 📸🔍

From tiny frogs and fascinating insects to snakes and other remarkable creatures, every living organism plays an important role in maintaining the balance of our ecosystems.

🌱 Conservation begins with understanding, and understanding begins with observation.

Our goal is to inspire the next generation to respect wildlife, protect natural habitats, and recognise that even the smallest creatures have an important place in nature.

Because every creature matters. Every habitat matters. Every action counts. 🌏💚

Observe. Learn. Explore. Conserve.

There’s something so generous about @inside.43 a magazine that celebrates people, their spaces, their stories and the lives within them.

@fairydustandcigarettes has created something intimate, curious and beautifully human.

So happy to be a little part of it. 🤍

In Service Forever

By Jyotsna Krishnadev

In Wellington, in the cool quiet of the Nilgiris, the day begins early for Lt Gen MG Girish. There is no bugle now. No parade ground waiting. And yet, the rhythm remains. Decades after he first wore the uniform, his days are still shaped by a simple, enduring instinct – to be of use.

These mountains take us through a journey .

Every single time we take a drive or a walk .

There is something different . Nilgiri air is different , it’s changing and evolving . People who have grown up here can see it with our very own eyes .

So do we adapt yes but to what . We change for the better so the next generation can have better lives . The people who visit here temporarily also should consider the same . We are not against tourists , we are just against inconsiderate people who don’t seem to care about the place we get to call home . We need to collectively learn about each other and from each other and make this place better .

We need more economic growth for this district as it is truly struggling .

A fellow Blue mountain resident .

The Nilgiris - A place that holds my heart! ♥️
It’s a place where the roads keep winding,
A place where the water flows,
A place where the clouds come down to meet you,
A place where things feel a little quieter.
This place is home to thousands,
loved by those who call it theirs.
