The sun is shining and I finally got around to trying @dongnaebristol (invite)
“Dongnae” (동네) means “neighbourhood” in Korean, and since opening their Chandos Rd restaurant, they’ve definitely been a popular addition to it. I had the set lunch menu which comes with soup, 2 banchan, vegetable tempura and a main dish (I went for the Vegetarian buckwheat noodles). I left stuffed full of great food and will definitely be back again at some point.

On Friday I took myself to Chido Wey to celebrate making it through the first working week of 2025!

Chido Wey is one of my absolute go to spots and somewhere I always suggest when people ask for recommendations in Bristol! The menu is constantly changing but you’re alwaaays guaranteed some incredible Mexican food and flavours!

This time we had 👇
🍅 Sharing platter of nachos (gf)
🌮 Mother choriza tacos (gf)
🌯 Mother choriza quesadillas

The mother choriza (gf) filling included chicken breast, smoked adobo chorizo, chorizo mayo, baby leaf, cheese sauce, jalapeño, crushed tortilla, coriander and chipotle!

If you’re thinking of heading down to Old Market for a bite make sure that you book in advance as tables fill up faaaast! 🏃‍♀️

Met Gala Day 🤝 Dinner at The Met📍@themetbristol

Can’t believe I haven’t shared this meal on the grid yet!

Throwbacking it back to another gorgeous meal with my gal @eatingthroughbristol! We LOOOOOVE a @firsttableuk bargain and this one has to be up there!🍴

We bagged a table on the app at The Metropolitan along Whiteladies Road, who are serving up the most incredible British and European dishes! Their philosophy is simplicity, quality, authenticity and big flavours. And their regularly changing dishes reflect the wonderful seasonal produce available from their local suppliers! They also alwaaaays have a brilliant range of gluten free options available too so you’re guaranteed something super tasty to eat!

Here’s what we ordered:
🐟 Cod fritters (gf)
🧀 Burrata (gf)
🐷 Pork chop
🍗 Confit guinea fowl (gf)
🥕 Heritage carrots (gf)
🥔 Confit potato (gf)

They also have a fabulous outdoor terrace which is perfecttt for when the sun decides to come back out! 🌞

Got over halfway through the @bedminsterbeertrail on Sunday, I’m not saying I deserve a medal for hop consumption, but I’ll accept it if it comes 🍻 (drink responsibly, pet pub dogs)

Forever dreaming about living at @tyntesfieldnt

My grandmother has the same maiden name as the previous owners too - so I guess I’ll just wait for that ‘Heir Hunters’ call to tell me it’s mine (I’ll be waiting a REALLY long time I think)

Visited their branch in Bristol which I have bookmarked earlier, Their long and wide coffee bar which combined with minimal ambience, providing comfortable seatings. Opted the 1+1 (columbia(washed) for espresso and cortado), thought the acidity was pretty intense for espresso and the cortado balanced out the sweetness.
