I spent 5 very happy years working for Rolex in their workshop at the London HQ and when I left to re-start Fears I sold all my watches, including my prized Rolex Day-Date with a rare smooth bezel.

The past few years I’ve acquired a handful of watches for my personal collection and now I’m delighted to have a Rolex back in my watch box. This isn’t just any watch but in fact an unusual 1970 DateJust ref: 1600/0 with original smooth bezel and a rare grey linen dial that almost turns bronze in the sunlight.

The watch was in smart condition when I received it, yet had been refurbished by untrained hands at some point. @insidehorology have done an incredible job of bringing it back to life with one of the best services I’ve ever seen.

Though my Fears Brunswick 38 White is my usual daily wearer, for now I’m enjoying having a Rolex back on my wrist. Despite owning a watch company and being obsessed (my husband might say possessed) by watches, I own very few as I like to wear all my watches regularly building up emotional value with each as they accompany me though my day.
