For the past few years, Marijke de Gruyter has been commissioned by several theaters to design the posters for their plays. Teaming up with Nicolien, they have created remarkable work that beautifully captures the essence of each production, highlights the main characters, or reflects the target audience. Countless hours went into preparing costumes and building sets to bring their vision to life long before the actual photoshoot ever took place. It was all done for the pure love of theatre

This bold, colorful recruitment campaign for Op Stoom was photographed by Marijke de Gruyter

They didn’t want standard corporate headshots but visuals that matched their fearless, outside-the-box vision. Marijke captured exactly that—the raw energy, the diversity, the pride in their roots and who they are, and the sheer passion of a team redefining early childhood education.

For the latest Zeeman Autumn Kids campaign, Marijke handled both direction and photography on one of the hottest days of the year. Working with kids in winter gear under those conditions is definitely a challenge! The slogan “Zeeman, it’s that simple” means the final result has to look completely effortless. What people don’t always see is the well-oiled team it takes to pull off a day like that. Only years of experience and deep insight make it look easy, creating clear, relatable images that are absolutely bursting with fun

Zutendaal- fluistering by Ellen Kooi

In Western Europe, few places are left where you can truly catch the earth’s whisper. Clearly, you have not yet been to Belgium. Here, the landscape unfolds like a silent invitation to simply listen, and just be. Zutendaal – a whisper

Palaia - Rim By Ellen Kooi

This flawless S-curve draws you right into the frame, pulling you irresistibly into its depth. It is pure hypnosis—losing yourself for minutes in your own imagination, completely losing track of time. Where did you just go?

(Keep swiping for the whole story)

For photographer Roswitha de Boer, creating images is all about the encounter.
A portrait is so much more than pressing the shutter. It is a moment to slow down, truly connect, and listen with genuine curiosity. Through her open-minded approach, she creates an environment of absolute trust. The result? Powerful, intimate portraits that lay bare the true essence of a story.
Beauty lives in the details—and in the time we take for one another. You can feel it in every frame.
