One thing about me, I’m always going to make it hands-on! 😂 I had such a good time at yesterday’s career fair introducing students to the world of permanent makeup. For many of them, it was their first time even holding a PMU machine! @federicobeautyinstitute We talked technique, practiced on latex, made a few corrections along the way, and had some fun with it. I love seeing students go from being a little unsure to getting comfortable enough to actually give it a try. That’s one of my favorite parts of teaching. Thank you for having Trophy Beauty Academy! 🤍

There’s something about watching a woman realize… wait, I don’t have to redraw these tomorrow?! 😂💕 That will forever be one of my favorite parts of doing Insta Brow demos in person. Yesterday we popped up at Dreamgirls and the girls got to see exactly what makes Insta Brow different 👉🏽a patent-pending brow stain that applies in about 30 seconds, can last up to 5 days, AND has a built-in eraser for those "Wake up ready days!" No mixing. No complicated process. And most importantly, no starting from scratch every single morning. We talked brows, found shades, did demos, went on TikTok Live for the first time 👀😂 and yes… the girls SHOPPED. 🛍️💕 And can we talk about the Dreamgirls team showing up in PINK?! 🥹 They made this little pop-up feel so special. Thank you for having Insta Brow in your space and showing us so much love. 💗 @dreamgirlshair @iamshariewilson Your brows shouldn’t have to be on tomorrow morning’s to-do list. Comment BROWS and I’ll send you a VIP code. 💕 #InstaBrow #BrowStain #EyebrowStain #LongLastingBrows

The City of Elk Grove successfully hosted its fifth annual Pitch Elk Grove competition on September 3rd, showcasing the brightest minds and most innovative startups from across the Sacramento region. We were pleased to cheer for the 10 startup finalists, several of which have engaged with the Carlsen Center. We were especially proud of GuLP, pitched by Umang Vadhar who represented the Sac State student startup. It was the first time they were competing in a regional pitch competition, against non-student teams. Meet the founders who earned top honors at Pitch Elk Grove 2026! 🎉 More than 100 startups applied, 10 outstanding finalists took the stage, and over 300 community members joined us to cheer them on. 🥇 Jacob Lang, Krokos Bio 🥈 Destiny Oliphant, Insta Brow 🥉 Dr. Fatma Kaplan, Pheronym, Inc. From biotechnology and agriculture to beauty, these visionary founders are transforming bold ideas into meaningful, real-world solutions. Congratulations! 👏👏👏👏😍

The biggest question is… how do I feel? 🥹 Grateful. Overwhelmed. And honestly, still taking it all in. Insta Brow won TWICE. 🏆🏆 We took home 2nd Place overall AND Best Elk Grove Startup at Pitch Elk Grove, and then I found out that in the four-year history of the competition, this was the first time one company had ever taken home two awards in the same year. Like… what?! 🥹 For so many years, I’ve lived in willing-and-grind mode. If I wanted something, I worked harder. I figured it out. I pushed through. I made it happen. And that version of me built a lot. But lately, I’ve been learning how to move differently. More in flow. More in faith. More prayer. More trust. Doing my part, but also allowing God to lead me instead of feeling like I have to force everything myself. And I can see the difference. Not just in the opportunities coming my way, but in the people God has placed around me. People who show up. People who believe in the vision. People who pray for me, encourage me, help me, and sometimes see what’s coming before I do. That’s what made this night so emotional. Yes, I’m proud of the two wins. Yes, I’m proud that a beauty brand walked into a room filled with innovation across completely different industries and stood out. But more than anything, I’m grateful for what this season is teaching me. Thankful 🙏🏽

I’m still kind of taking all of this in 🥹💕 What was so special to me about Pitch Elk Grove is that this competition was open to innovative businesses in all different industries… and I got to walk into that room representing BEAUTY with a physical product that I created. Like… that’s big to me. And the support?? There were literally people there cheering me on that I had NO idea were coming. 🥹 I felt so loved. To walk away Best of Elk Grove AND 2nd place overall just made the whole night even crazier. 🏆✨ And this is only the beginning for INSTA BROW®. We created a patent-pending brow stain pen that applies in 30 seconds and can last up to 5 days because women should not have to start their brows over every single morning. We’re changing the brow routine one pen at a time. 💕 And yeah… your girl is just getting started. 😂✨ Special shoutout to Leticia @beautybylisa_leticia 😂💕 She basically decided I was winning before It was announced and made sure I had my own “winner interview” footage. 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

Today was my first time attending Pitch Elk Grove at @district56eg, and I’m really glad @tavon_d._willis put me onto it! This is their 5th year doing the event, and 10 startups got the opportunity to pitch their businesses for $20,000 in prize money! 💵 What I liked most was hearing how many of these companies are simply looking at problems we deal with every day and saying, there has to be a better way to do this. It was really cool getting to hear the ideas, the stories behind them, and seeing what people are building. The food was 🔥 too. @skyportrestaurant came through with the sushi, pork buns, chicken skewers and more, and @flatlandbrewing was out there pouring delicious local beer 🍻 Truly though one of my favorite parts of the whole experience was just the room itself. Entrepreneurs, business owners, the mayor, vice mayor, councilmembers, sponsors, and other people who are really out here shaking and moving things in Elk Grove all in the same room, talking and connecting 🙂‍↕️ It really makes you feel like you’re a part of the community 🫶🏽 Saw a lot of familiar faces, met a bunch of new ones, ate good, learned some things, and had a great time. If you’re into business, startups or investing, you gotta check out the next Pitch Elk Grove! First year down. Definitely going back. 🙌🏾 @district56eg @exploreelkgrove @wilton_rancheria @instabrowceo @myinstabrow #PitchElkGrove #ElkGroveCA #ElkGrove #SacramentoBusiness SupportLocal

Sometimes gratitude comes with a check attached. 💌 A BIG thank you to Destiny Oliphant, the @instabrowceo, for showing up for our survivors last month with a full Insta Brow event. It was a beautiful day of care, connection, and a little well-deserved self-love. And watching our young volunteers get just as excited about Insta Brow? That made it even more special. 🤎 Destiny, thank you for pouring into our survivors and showing what it looks like to give back with purpose.

Confidence looks different for everyone. 🤍 At INSTA BROW®, we believe beauty has the power to bring people together. That’s why partnering with @carriestouch for the Arch Experience meant so much to us. This event was about more than beautiful brows. It was about creating a space where women could connect, encourage one another, and support a cause that’s making a real difference in our community. I’m incredibly proud that a portion of every ticket purchased helped support @carriestouch and the work they do for breast cancer survivors. Thank you to everyone who came, supported, and helped make this event so special. This is only the beginning. 🤍✨ #InstaBrow #KerrisTouch #ArchExperience #CommunityOverCompetition #BeautyWithPurpose

Y’all kept asking how I made my Instagram mirror for my Insta Brow pop-up, so here’s exactly how I did it! First, I screenshotted my Instagram profile and recreated it in Canva to match my branding. Then I grabbed a mirror from Hobby Lobby for about $40, and had @customprintbros print my design on vinyl—it was only about 20 bucks. Pro tip: spray the mirror with Windex before applying the vinyl. It makes lining everything up so much easier. And yes… the question everyone keeps asking… 😂 How did it stand? I zip-tied it to a foam board easel stand, added a couple of weights to the bottom, and it stayed up all day. I already had the stand, but you can easily find one on Amazon. For around $60, this turned into one of the biggest attractions at my Insta Brow pop-up. People literally lined up to take pictures with it. Save this for your next pop-up or vendor event, and tag me if you make one! #TradeShowDisplay #CanvaDesign #DIYMarketing #InstaBrow #BeautyBusiness
