A few days at the office. It’s great when you get to do something you love for a living. It’s hard work and physically exhausting many days, but worth it. Big thanks to our small and mighty team, new clients and lots of new friends. Spartanburg, SC is on the rise. Thanks to the Harry Dallara Foundation and the Hub City Spartanburgers for bringing community together and launching a new era in Spartanburg baseball. More to come.

I’m so grateful to the @queencityfilmfestnj for recognizing my hard work as a reporter here in New Jersey. I was so overwhelmed with love this weekend from everyone I spoke with, those who shared stories with me and the loyal News 12 viewers who watch me on the daily that I had the pleasure of meeting in person! Thank you @lamarmackson for putting this 7th annual festival together and for allowing me to be a huge part of it. #plainfield #nj #qcffnj #queencity @cityofplainfieldnj 👑

Happy Birthday to our rockstar friend. Always the sharpest dressed man and always smiling. Bob Kendrick is the President and Chief Storyteller of the Negro Leagues baseball Museum. He spent years listening to the stories of the Negro Leagues from the guys who played. And continues to keep those stories alive. Happy Bday Bob!!!!🏌️‍♂️🤩⚾️ #americanhistory #negroleagues #nlbm #legacy #biggerthanbaseball #therealdeal #dressedtothenines

In honor of the Negro National League anniversary we’re throwing it back to 2-13-2020 when AT&T invited us to celebrate the centennial of the founding of the Negro National League. The Other Boys of Summer was shared with employees and powerful discussions were had. This was Bob Scott’s last appearance before the pandemic struck and he passed away that fall. Bob was signed by the NY Black Yankees as a 16 yr old and barnstormed with Jackie Robinson. We’re proud to have created a platform for his story and many others to live on. These humble heroes were change agents who we can all learn from. #grace #dignity #resilience #dei #ancestors #negroleagues #civilrights #bhm #strongertogether

Flashback to one of the coldest days in NYC history. It was below zero the morning of January 31, 2019 but the Great Hall at the Cooper Union was filled with warmth as The Other Boys of Summer had its NYC premiere. Jim Robinson and Pedro Sierra were on hand for an incredible panel discussion after the film. Jim played for the KC Monarchs, Philadelphia Stars and Indianapolis Clowns. Pedro pitched for the Detroit Stars and Indianapolis. Both men share their stories in the film and were celebrated by the incredible audience that night.

Since that evening the film has become the centerpiece of an original DEI program that honors the legacy of the Negro Leagues, brings people and inspires. It’s been honored and recognized by awards and over 100 companies, schools, communities and organizations have enjoyed the program.

Happy 97th Birthday Ron “Schoolboy” Teasley. He was born in Detroit and played in the Negro leagues. He was part of the 1948 NY Cubans with Minnie Minoso. He also played basketball and baseball at Wayne State University and is in their sports Hall of Fame. Mr. Teasley was a three time All-Star playing baseball in the ManDak league in Canada.

After his baseball career, he went on to be an educator teaching in the Detroit public schools for 35 years. He also worked as a golf instructor and was a photographer and writer for The Michigan Chronicle.

He’s has joined us for a few programs over the years, and it’s always a pleasure to have him share his stories. Wishing you a happy and healthy year ahead. Hope it’s full of great baseball, great golf, and lots of family and friends. #negroleagues #greatest #mlb #detroit #detroitroots #educationmatters #trailblazer #nycubans #respect #humble #america #waynestate #canada #grace #happybirthday

Mamie “Peanut” Johnson was born 9/71/1935 in Ridgeway, SC. She grew up making baseballs out of rocks and masking tape and became the only woman to pitch in the Negro Leagues. She shared her story with us back in 2016. She was looking forward to joining us on tour with the film. Unfortunately she passed away in 2017 but her legacy continues to be told in our film. #peanutjohnson #indianapolisclowns #negroleagues #trailblazer #spitfire #oneofakind #washingtonnationals #barrierbreaker #storyteller #documentary #biggerthanbaseball #dei #pitcher #nurse #ncat #inclusion #civilrights #femalefilmmaker

Fantastic night in Jacksonville. The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp hosted us at the historic Ritz Theater last night. People of all ages and races came together for a free community event. The film was shown followed by a panel discussion with Lauren Meyer - Film Director, Lloyd Washington - President Durkeeville Historic Society and Henry Smith - Edward Waters Athletics. Guests had the chance to visit the Ritz Museum, enjoy refreshments, see the film and participate in a post screening conversation. Thank you to everyone who joined us. Special shout out to the Jumbo Shrimp from hosting us. This was the penultimate stop on the 2023 MiLB Barnstorming Tour! This evening’s tech crew was all female. Another thing we are proud to share. #strongerthether #equitymatters #dei #history #negroleagues #buckoneil #jackierobinson #biggerthanbaseball #america #blackownedbusiness #community #theritz #jax #jacksonville #jumboshrimp #milb #barnstorming #jaxredcaps #documentary #femalefilmmaker
