Ethos Academic Awards First Publishing Contract for a Book on AI and Biblical Wisdom. @cedarville University authors Dr. John Delano and @leo._alina Alina Leo, will help Christians navigate artificial intelligence with discernment, integrity, and faith.

Ethos Academic, the publishing initiative established through Cedarville University's partnership with Igniting Souls® and @instant.ip®, announces its first publishing contract, awarded to Dr. John Delano and Alina Leo for their forthcoming book, working title: Engaging AI with Biblical Wisdom.

The milestone advances Ethos Academic's mission to help faculty transform research, teaching, and original ideas into professionally published books that extend their influence and Kingdom impact. The initiative provides editorial, design, publishing, distribution, and intellectual property protection support.

Delano and Leo's book addresses a growing question for Christians: How can we benefit from artificial intelligence while preserving the judgment, responsibility, relationships, and character that faithful living requires?

Written primarily for everyday church members, the book assumes no technical background. It offers a biblical framework for evaluating AI use in the household, workplace, and church, helping readers make wise decisions as technologies continue to change.

At its center is ENGAGE, a framework translating six virtues drawn from Philippians 4:8 into six dimensions of Christian conduct: Exact, Noble, Genuine, Admirable, Gracious, and Exemplary. These characteristics guide readers through questions involving truth, self-representation, responsibility, relationships, speech, and example.

Cedarville President @drthomaswhite approved sponsorship of the project in August, affirming its potential to serve readers navigating these questions.

Cedarville is thrilled to partner with these two excellent professors," White commented. "Cedarville desires to lead the way in adopting AI in every degree to prepare students for the future demands of the marketplace. This book will help us accomplish our goal of developing biblically faithful servant-leaders equipped to engage AI with skill and discernment."

Congrats @cedarville entrepreneurs. We made the nightly news.

As artificial intelligence tools become more common in workplaces and classrooms, a Cedarville University professor is warning entrepreneurs and students that online posts, podcasts and other publicly available content can be used to train AI systems.

Taylor Snook, a sophomore at Cedarville University and a small business owner, said she uses AI to make her work more efficient.

“We use AI to make things a little bit more efficient," Snook said."Companies can remain smaller without having to hire all these different people or know all these different things,” Snook said.

Kary Oberbrunner, a professor at Cedarville University and an author, said he is concerned that entrepreneurs who discuss ideas online could have those ideas scraped by AI bots and then generated for another user.

“Now AI bots are 24/7, scraping all websites, podcasts, LinkedIn posts, you name it social media,” Oberbrunner said. “And it's using that data to continue its AI new model adaptation.”

Snook said that creates concern for business owners who are trying to protect their ideas.

“Now someone else has it and they think it's their own idea because AI gave it to them, but it was just scraping from my stuff,” Snook said.

Oberbrunner said the issue can affect a business’s ability to stand out from competitors.

“All of that stuff makes your business what it is. It separates you from other businesses,” Oberbrunner said. “And so if you're being scraped and stolen from you essentially lose your differentiation.”

The concerns extend beyond small businesses. Just over a year ago, Anthropic, the company behind the AI chatbot Claude, paid authors a combined $1.5 billion after writers claimed their work was used without permission. Oberbrunner was one of those authors.

Oberbrunner said he has developed a program that allows businesses to help register ideas and protect them from AI scraping. He said the issue is becoming more complicated as AI technology advances....

Be like Laura. Do you have a course, book, product, or service that’s not protected? If so, humans or AI can scrape, steal, and lock you out of your own ideas.

Laura Ahern wrote The True Calling and created programs including Success Decoded.

But what you see on the screen is only part of her story.

Behind those slides is a person.
Behind those lessons is lived experience.
Behind that course is work only Laura could have created in her particular way.

This is why I care so much about intellectual property.

We often look at something we created and say, “It’s just my course.”

Just my workbook.
Just my framework.
Just something I teach.

We minimize the very things that make our work valuable.

Laura’s video makes this tangible.

She takes us inside her Success Decoded course and shows how she prepares her slides and written materials for protection with Instant IP.

I love seeing creators take this step.

They’re recognizing that the work they want to share with the world also deserves to be documented and protected.

As a publisher, I get to see people turn their experiences into books, courses, and businesses.

Often, something they once struggled to understand becomes something they can help someone else navigate.

That’s meaningful work.

And when you put that work into words, lessons, exercises, and original materials, you’re creating assets.

Assets you can teach.
Assets you can publish.
Assets you can build a business around.

Laura, thank you for letting other creators see this part of your process. You’re helping them recognize the value in their own work.

Watch her walkthrough.

Then take another look at the course, book, or framework you’ve been calling “just something I created.”

You are an IP company.

Protect before you promote.

Big news

Kohza x Instant IP. Official.

We've been in the trenches for a while now

Taking down pirated content across hundreds of sites, file hosts, Telegram channels, platforms most people don't even know exist

Watching creators get their work stolen and finally getting justice for them

This partnership with Instant IP by Kary Oberbrunner feels like the missing piece

Now every creator we work with gets their IP registered, protected, and enforced. All under one roof

For creators this means no more watching your work get stolen while you feel helpless

No more chasing platforms

No more losing revenue to pirates who profit off your hard work

You create, We protect.

This is just the beginning
