I can’t think of a better place to have led an urban sketching meet-up for the first time than Dallas City Hall! (Nor a better group to do with than the Dallas Asian American Art Collective!) 🏙️🎨✍️

It was also a ‘first’ for many of the artists who joined us, and I was so excited to share everything I learned from my summer with @sf_sketchers ! 🌁

If you’re an Asian American creative in Dallas and interested in future meet-ups, keep up with us at @daaartclub !

And if you are a Dallas resident who wants to help preserve this historic, iconic city landmark, learn more about the ongoing petition at SaveDallasCityHall.com @savedallascityhall

This was a blast, I appreciate everyone who came out, and I loved seeing everyone’s unique perspective on the People’s House.

I can’t wait to host more urban sketching meet-ups around Dallas - stay tuned for future locations that’ll be open to everyone! (And I’ll share the process of my watercolor sketch in another video 😋)

I love art, I love community, I love this city 🥹

PS with how to set up one of these & organize folks - I learned from @sketchy_stephy !!!

Hey there! I wanted to connect on behalf of @gnarcyofficial . We've got some seriously rad jewelry lined up, and I reckon you'd be the ideal candidate to rock our latest collection of tough accessories!

If you're up for it, we'd love to hook you up with a trio of pieces on the house! Yup, you read that right – absolutely FREE!

Just shoot a DM over to our main account @gnarcyofficial (if you dont see a DM button, just reply to any of their stories), and our guy Shawn will sort you out pronto! But hey, don't sleep on it – spots are filling up fast, and we'd hate for you to miss out on the action! Cheers, mate! 🤙

I wouldn’t have wanted to spend the last couple of months working with any other cast. Thank you to all of our amazing directors for creating such a magical show. I am so thankful for all the amazing memories and friendships that University Sing has given me. 💗⭐️

Camp gave me some everlasting friends. To Ali: thank you for being the funniest and kindest namesake we could ask for. To Maggie and Maleah: thank you for leading the Shafaie family so well and giving all of us so much continuous love. To my co’s: thank you for sticking by me and helping me lead an amazing group of campers no matter what was happening. To my campers: thank you for coming to camp with open minds and open hearts, I cannot wait to watch every single one of you grow in your freshman year. I am so thankful for everyone who helped make camp outstanding and who supported me and continue to support me, you don’t know just how loved I felt this week. 💜💛💜💛
P.s., the second pic is how I’ll be looking at all of my campers as they take on freshman year because I know they’ll do amazing things.

Did I think that 105° weather, 2:30 AM watermelon eating contests, and only getting 3 hours of sleep a night would make me this excited for college? Nope, but here we are!!! #boomer #ou22 #tolson
