Something special is happening in Hosuton tonight ✨

Since moving here last year, I’ve been practicing ecstatic dance. It’s a mind-body-community connection unlike anything I’d imagined. And it’s super freaking fun.

However wild and free it is though, ecstatic dance can be a challenge, to drop out of the thinking mind and into the feeling, flowing body. That’s the practice part of it. And it’s worth the effort/non-effort every time.

@nadine_innerflow, a magnificent soul who makes these wild, deep, resonant compositions (calling them “playlists” doesn’t do justice), saw hulludarák on my IG and was inspired to dedicated an entire dance to it.

This is what it’s all about to me, these synergetic moments when Tendrela’s ritual offerings catch the light of someone else’s curiosity & devotion and something new, effervescent, communal, and deeply felt flows forth.

And the beauty is that none of it happens without hulludarák: the mad courage to love.

All my gratitude to Nadine for feeling into the work, the word, the wonder and letting it all flow 🩷

We drum to remember the heart beat within. We drum and sing to unify our souls if only for a moment. We drum and sing to remember true togetherness, to set aside our differences and unify in song. We drum and sing to remember the beauty and power of collective expression, as the ancient people did. We listen, we respond, we learn again to be so full of care and yet so careless in our radical expressions. Join us as we destroy the fourth wall and rescue togetherness again.

Tomorrow Eve we dance. The body leads us back to the center, where we deepen our relationship with the moment, with each other, with the extremes of human reality, both subtle and with great care and also absolutely WILD and care free. Do you remember how to hold these polarities and allow your body to express and shine like a child again? Join us for a magical and soul nourishing night of communal radiance.
