✨ One world. One song. One unforgettable moment. 🌍❤️

As we closed the World Choir Games, we came together to sing We Are the World.

The audience rose to their feet, dancing, singing and celebrating together. In that moment, there were no borders, no differences – just people united by the universal language of music.

Decades after it was written, We Are the World still carries the same powerful message. A reminder that music has the extraordinary ability to bring people together, inspire hope and remind us of our shared humanity.

And that night, we didn’t just sing about unity. We lived it. ❤️

This is the power of music. This is what the World Choir Games are all about. 🌍🎶

TANAH AIR
by Ibu Sud

“Tanah Air” is a timeless Indonesian song that expresses a deep and heartfelt love for our homeland. A beautiful reminder that no matter how far we travel, our roots, memories, and love for Indonesia will always remain in our hearts.

While waiting for our turn to enter the stage rehearsal venue in Calella, Barcelona, Spain, during Sing for Gold 2026, the singers of Voice of Praise HKBP Menteng spontaneously came together to sing this beloved song.

Originally written to be performed in unison, Tanah Air took on a new musical dimension as our voices naturally unfolded into four, six, and even eight-part harmonies. What began as a spontaneous moment of togetherness became a beautiful expression of creativity, fellowship, and our shared love for the motherland.

No elaborate preparation, no formal arrangement—just hearts united by music, voices blending in harmony, and an enduring love for the land we call home.

Even thousands of miles away, Indonesia will always live in our hearts and in our songs.

RAYUAN PULAU KELAPA
by Ismail Marzuki

A beautiful tribute to the homeland, Rayuan Pulau Kelapa is one of Indonesia’s beloved national songs, celebrating the breathtaking beauty and richness of the Indonesian archipelago.

During our stage rehearsal in Calella, Barcelona, Voice of Praise HKBP Menteng spontaneously brought this timeless masterpiece to life in a unique and inspiring way.

Originally composed to be sung in unison, this time we let our voices flow freely, transforming the melody into rich and harmonious arrangements of four, six, and even eight vocal parts. What began as a spontaneous moment became a beautiful expression of musical creativity, unity, and our love for Indonesia.

Wherever we are in the world, the beauty of our homeland lives on in our hearts and through our voices.
