20+ years of friendship and a weekend in Yosemite that pushed me out of my comfort zone. We’ve lived a lot of life since high school, and I love that we’re still making memories together. So glad I said yes to this weekend 🧡

I’m late on this post. But thank you to everyone who celebrated my birthday with me this year! You all made me feel so loved and special. I was able to spend my 38th in Vegas, and back home in California, which made it even better (mom put together the best feast). And, thank you to everyone for all the messages and calls as well. This year I’m feeling extra grateful. I am truly lucky ❤️🤍💚

How I blur my kids’ faces in videos to protect their privacy: It’s a tool in the InShot app! - Upload your video into InShot - Add Sticker and select Detail to customize Blur options - Move and size over subject’s face - Adjust length sticker is applied to your video in the timeline editing bar - Slide the toolbar to the right and select Tracking - Hit Start tracking - Preview tracking (sometimes I might need to go back and shorten the timing of the sticker and layer another sticker, do tracking on that, too, and repeat if my kiddos are moving too much for the tracking to stay over their face in one sticker) - Export video and upload on Instagram! I made the choice awhile ago to limit my kids’ faces on social media, but wanted a better way for videos, and after learning this from @conscious.hippie.mama I have since completely eliminated showing my kids’ faces. As a result, I do think the aesthetics of my content does not appeal to some followers and brands (because let’s face it, faces in videos sell), but for me, this trade off has been worth it. I’m here to help you get outside more, with and without kids! Let me know your thoughts in the comments — Do you support creators’ decisions to not show their kids’ faces? Ask me any troubling shooting questions you have about this tool!
