POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It’s been a month since home away from home closed at IPC ArtSpace (on view July 23rd through September 5th), and I’m still pinching myself.

I keep returning to this experience, still amazed that I was able to bridge my memories of London with South Florida, bringing pieces of home into another. From the long, sleepless install nights to the euphoric opening, from the heartwarming photo voice workshop with @girlsincmiami to the enriching conversation with @nadegegreen and @profveelyles to the visits from @blackgirlsinartspaces , the Art Girlies happy hour, visit with @yessicagispert FIU Photo students, and the tours and walkthroughs, every moment left me full of love, warmth, and gratitude.

To my incredible curators, @pamdebono & @officialkara thank you for your trust, for every ounce of work and care you poured into this exhibition, and for seeing me in ways I couldn’t see myself. Thank you to @ipcartspace for hosting us and letting us take up space for over a month. Thank you to @unkleclarence for your steady support, your help with the install, and for documenting these tender moments. Thank you to @drinkhiyo for keeping us hydrated with such nourishing social tonics. Thank you to @kwayawines for keeping everyone buzzing with such delicious wine, and to @cloudmanlou , for documenting every exhibition I’ve been blessed to have.

And to every person who showed up, documented the space, and reflected with us on what home means to them: thank you!!

This has been a truly euphoric experience. I’m forever grateful for my South Florida community, my London community, and everyone who continues to sit with this work alongside me.

p.s. for the first time ever my grandma was able to make it to one of my exhibitions and spend some time with the work in person and it was so magical I could cry every time I think about it.

The conversation continues 🤎

Meet the 2026 O, Miami Greenhouse artists. 🌱✨

This summer, twelve young artists from across South Florida joined us for our annual artist professionalization program.

Grounded in artistic mentorship, professional development, and creative community engagement, the Greenhouse supports Miami’s next generation of creatives, especially those working outside of traditional institutional frameworks. Each year, from June through August, our cohort is paired with a stellar lineup of Miami-based mentors, including filmmakers, poets, choreographers, and cultural workers. Each artist is matched with a mentor aligned with their creative practice, while O, Miami supports their professional development through poetry as a tool for self-expression and problem-solving.

Congratulations to all of our emerging artists! We can’t wait to see what you do next.

Thank you to the art spaces that welcomed our cohort into their space and hosted artist talks, tours, and more.

Interested in getting involved in the Greenhouse or hosting our next cohort? Email us at info@omiami.org.

Applications for the next Greenhouse open spring 2027.
