Here is my Digital Painting Project! For my Digital Painting project in Adobe Photoshop, I focused entirely on pixel‑based image creation without vector imaging or external compositing. I chose my late German Schnauzer, Athens Ramirez, as my subject to reflect my personal aesthetic and emotional connection. I gathered reference photos of Athens along with five Vincent van Gogh paintings, whose expressive textures and colors inspired my stylistic direction. I also generated Van Gogh‑style interpretations of Athens using DREAM by WOMBO to explore how painterly strokes and color movement could influence my own digital painting. I began by placing my references into Photoshop and creating a BASE PAINTING SHAPES layer. Using a pressure‑sensitive brush at 70% opacity, I blocked in broad shapes for the eyes, fur, and body. I added a tan background and created a SKETCH layer to map out rough shapes for facial features and fur direction. I enlarged my reference image, lowered its opacity, and traced an analytic sketch—not to copy the photo exactly, but to understand structure while keeping my own stylistic choices. My professor emphasized that digital painting should not aim for photorealism, but instead reflect personal aesthetics and expressive choices. I customized my own brushes by defining new brush presets and adjusting tip dynamics such as size jitter, angle jitter, roundness jitter, and scatter. On a REFINED PAINT layer at around 50–56% opacity, I added textured strokes inspired by Van Gogh’s directional marks. I continued building layers for reflection shadows, eyes, eyelid highlights, and collar details. To integrate my Van Gogh inspirations, I placed the AI‑generated artwork above my painting, set it to Hard Light blend mode, adjusted opacity, and used Hue/Saturation to harmonize the colors. Using my custom brush as an eraser, I scraped away areas like a palette knife to reveal my painted layers underneath. This project allowed me to explore texture, color, and personal storytelling through digital art. - - Tags #DigitalPainting #CustomBrushes #VanGoghInspired #PetPortraitArt #AthensRamirez

Here is my Text & Poster Design Project! For my Text & Poster Design project created in Adobe Photoshop, I combined custom vector typography with my raster spot illustration to create a full‑color promotional poster. I began by sketching type‑blocking thumbnails to plan the placement of graphics and text within the rectangular format. After importing my sketch into Photoshop, I added a white background, placed my color spot illustration, and resized it to leave space for the text block. I created a new layer for text blocking and used the Brush Tool to paint the shape where my typography would fit. I then imported my sketch into Photoshop, warped and tilted the existing typeface to match my blocking, and set the sketch layer to Multiply for visibility. Next, I brought my type‑blocking sketch into Vectr.com, lowered its opacity, and traced friendly cartoon‑style vector lines using the Pen Tool. I added wing elements to the letters ‘F,’ ‘S,’ ‘S,’ and ‘M’ to match my aesthetic. After completing the ‘FEARLESS SPECTRUM’ vector design, I exported it as an SVG and imported it into Photoshop. I locked both the vector text and my logo while building the background. Using PNGTree and Google images, I added clouds, star bursts, and cosmic elements, applying blend modes such as Hard Light, Luminosity, and Linear Dodge (Add) to create a glowing fantasy atmosphere. For the logo, I applied outer glow to match the star effects. For the typography, I duplicated the text layer and converted it to a Smart Object, then applied Stroke, Inner Glow, Gradient Overlay, and Outer Glow to create a chrome‑metallic finish inspired by digital lettering tutorials. Finally, I toggled all layers visible — background, clouds, stars, logo, and typography — to complete a polished poster design that communicates strength, inclusivity, and personal aesthetic. - - Tags #PosterDesign #TypographyArt #VectorGraphics #DigitalIllustration #FearlessSpectrum

Here is my completed Color Spot Illustration! For my Color Spot Illustration created in Adobe Photoshop, I combined vector line art with raster digital coloring to produce a free‑floating spot illustration designed for stickers, shirts, and versatile digital use. I began with a rough sketch inspired by symbolic imagery: human hands holding a puzzle piece representing autism spectrum awareness, a heart inside the puzzle piece, and wings influenced by Triple H and Motörhead iconography. After gathering references, I traced my sketch using the Pen Tool, building one clean side and duplicating it with Flip Horizontal for perfect symmetry. I applied the ‘sandwich’ technique to organize my vector linework (‘black bread’) and flat color layers (‘white breads’), using selection tools, paint bucket fills, and eyedropper sampling to create clean flat colors. I developed hard‑edge duotone shading by adjusting levels, cutting highlights and shadows with the Lasso Tool, and organizing them into a structured duotone folder. I then created soft‑edge duotone shading with Gaussian Blur to soften transitions. After correcting offset pixels and merging layers, I added a BASE COAT & OFFSET layer with white color overlay, a 30‑pixel stroke, and outer glow to create a sticker‑ready outline. Finally, I applied gradient overlays in soft‑light blending to create dynamic mixed‑color effects. This process allowed me to create a polished, symbolic spot illustration that communicates care, individuality, and personal aesthetic. - - Tags #SpotIllustration #VectorLineArt #DigitalColoring #AutismAwarenessArt #StickerDesign

Here is my completed Apply an Iterative Process (Concept Project Workflow) For my Apply an Iterative Process (Concept Project Workflow) project created in Adobe Photoshop, I followed a full concept‑development pipeline to produce my final digital artwork. I began by generating a clear summary statement and sketching three rough thumbnail concepts: Homer Simpson Woohoo, CM Punk wins WWE Champion, and Squidward I did it. After participating in an individual process critique, I selected my strongest idea — the ‘Woohoo Homer Simpson’ meme — and refined the sketch based on feedback. I digitally inked the refined sketch using the Pen Tool, then applied hard‑edge and soft‑edge duotone coloring underneath to build clean, expressive character shading. Throughout the process, I collected reference imagery and design inspiration to strengthen the final concept. I finalized the artwork by choosing the best display format, considering print size and resolution, and writing an artist statement that includes my name, the artwork title, and a concise explanation of my idea and creative process. This drawing is me — eight years in college, exhausted but still pushing through. It may look like a meme, but it’s the most honest way I can show how it feels to finally reach graduation. - - Tags #ConceptArtWorkflow #DigitalInking #PhotoshopArt #GraduationArt #DesignStudentLife

Here is my completed Identity Patterns (Creaturescape)! For my Identify Patterns (Creaturescape) project created in Adobe Photoshop, I composited my creature into a fantasy environment using the same atmospheric effects developed in my Fantasy Landscape Composite. I duplicated the landscape file and applied vibrance, brightness/contrast, selective color, exposure (darken), curves, and additional brightness/contrast adjustments to create an arctic mood. I added soft smoke textures to enhance the snowy atmosphere. Using non‑destructive Overlay layers, I dodged and burned highlights and shadows to match the lighting direction and make the creature feel integrated into the scene. I placed the creature so it occupies at least 25% of the composition, ensuring it remains the focal point. Finally, I matched the creature’s lighting, shadows, and color effects to the environment so both elements balance naturally within the fantasy setting. - - Tags #Creaturescape #FantasyCreatureArt #PhotoshopLighting #DigitalCompositing #AtmosphericDesign

Here is my completed Custom Raster Roster Potrait. This custom raster portrait started from a photo I took on December 2nd, 2023, and later became a Digital Art assignment at Northeast Lakeview College (2024). Using Photoshop tools like oil paint, vibrance, shadows/highlights, and smart object edits, I transformed it into a stylized painterly portrait. Continuing to grow my portfolio as a Bryan University design student trainee. - - Tags #DigitalArt #PhotoshopArt #RasterArt #ArtStudentLife #DesignPortfolio

Crazy that it’s been 10 years since graduation. Feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago. I proved to myself I could do what people said I couldn’t. Shoutout to my mom and dad for my first phone — the Metro PCS LG K7 — and every upgrade since. Each one was a new chapter. Also wild that it’s been 10 years on Snapchat. From filters to Bitmojis to those grainy LG K7 pics… I’ve had a lot of fun and seen a lot change. Thanks to my family, friends, and all the Miguelons out there for the love and support. Check out the memories on Snapchat: ibambam98 Feeling blessed. Enjoying life every day. - - Tags #10YearGlowUp #DecadeOfMemories #Since2016 #GraduationAnniversary #SnapchatJourney

Hello everyone, my name is Ivan Ramirez. I am currently a Bryan University student designer specializing in branding & illustration. This is my first time creating a professional design account, and I’m excited to share my journey. I’ve been sketching since childhood, exploring cartoons and anime art for over 25 years. Along the way, I developed skills in Photoshop, working on edits, commissions, and creative photo projects for nearly a decade. More recently, I began using Illustrator to expand my design abilities, building new projects and experimenting with fresh ideas. As a student with autism and ADHD, I understand the challenges and responsibilities of the graphic design field. These experiences motivate me to work hard, stay open to learning, and build a portfolio that reflects both creativity and resilience. Follow along as I share finished projects, process sketches, and design experiments. Let’s connect: DM for collaborations. - - Tags #GraphicDesign #BrandingDesign #IllustrationArt #StudentDesigner #BryanUniversity

Flashback Friday and Happy 10th Anniversary to my older brother Estevan who took on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on August 23rd, 2014🌟 I’ll never forget the moment when my mom and I helped my brother do this video. While I was filming the whole thing with three different camera devices: my old tablet, my brother’s old phone, and his GoPro. And there was my mom with two ice buckets to pour over his head!🧊🪣 It was a memorable and heartwarming experience, filled with both fun and love because that’s what families are for😊 - - Tags #10yearanniversary #YouTube #throwback #ALSicebucketchallenge #icebucketchallenge #icebucket #memories #2014 #memory
