A look back at the RANN’s 35th General Assembly in Alcoy.

We began at Alcoy’s Modernist Fair, where RANN hosted a stand on 26 and 27 September. Irene Domènech Comella @irenedomcom and Pálházi Petra Zsófia @plhaziptra
welcomed visitors and introduced them to the work we do at RANN.

The fans proved a popular giveaway in the warm Alcoy sunshine! 🪭 Congratulations @firamodernistaalcoi on bringing Art Nouveau back to life.

On 28 September, RANN members gathered at @fundiciorodes for its 35th General Assembly.

It was a chance to hear updates from across the network, exchange news and ideas, and discuss RANN’s future plans through a workshop on next European projects. The day continued with a guided tour of Modernist Alcoy and couldn’t have finished better: official dinner at La Gruta de Víctor, an Art Nouveau grotto inside the Círculo Industrial.

The following day, #ArtNouveauasaNewEUtopia project partners met at IVAM CADA Alcoi for the project’s consortium meeting.
They presented updates from their work packages, shared progress and discussed activities and next steps.
Among the projects presented were the Primotheka educational-tool prototypes by @oradea_heritage and @hortamuseum, and videos for Art Nouveau house owners developed by @urban_brussels and @iparmuveszetimuzeum. After discussions and conclusions, participants joined the “Alcoi t’espera” guided tour.

Across the four days, members and partners had many opportunities to reconnect, share knowledge, discuss the Network’s work and discover Alcoy’s Art Nouveau heritage together.

Our warm thanks to @alcoyturismo and ajuntamentalcoi for their hospitality and remarkable work. Thanks also to all RANN members and EUtopia partners for their contributions and company.
