“I wasn’t asking to work less. I was asking to work differently.”

When I returned to work after having my second child, I found myself caught between two things I loved: being a mother and having a career.

I was doing everything I could to make both work, yet somehow always felt I was falling short.

Over the past two and a half years of building @theinarra, I’ve realised just how many people share a version of this experience, and how many businesses are looking for talented people but need a different approach to hiring.

It’s a conversation that’s stayed with me, and one that’s led to something I’ve been working on behind the scenes.

Introducing Workroom by THE INARRA, launching tomorrow, 20.10.

Today, I’m sharing the personal story behind @weareworkroom and why I believe there’s a better way forward for both people and businesses.

A little piece of my heart, and the beginning of something I’m incredibly excited to share.

One whole year of @wylk.mother 💛 Built on one simple belief - that women deserve to feel cared for, supported and considered during those first raw weeks postpartum.

Somehow, amongst raising the boys, moving house, a small reno, another incredibly tough HG pregnancy and welcoming my 3rd, WYLK has grown more than I could have imagined. The most rewarding part of it all is seeing WYLK become a small part of over 1,800 women’s birth and postpartum stories.

Thank you to everyone who has bought something, shared WYLK with a friend, sent a message, given feedback or simply followed along over this first year. Every bit of support has meant more than you know.

And to the amazing people behind WYLK who help me bring the ideas to life, keep things moving and continue to grow this little business - I’m so grateful for you. I’m so proud of what we’ve created in our first year and even more excited for what’s ahead.
