I recently completed my biggest order yet! 14 customized tote bags created for a beautiful dinner celebrating friendship!✨

Starting spring market season off with a bang! I'll be at @wilder.house Chicago Pottery Market on Saturday, May 30th & Sunday, May 31st with a limited run of my collaboration ceramic candles with @irisedwardcandles and new porcelain pieces! Then catch us the following weekend at @exploreuptownchi Art Walk on Saturday, June 6th. I'll have fresh new photo prints from my archive along with some coffee, espresso and cortado cups I've been working on. Can't wait to see all your smiling faces in the spring sunshine!

We hosted our first Sanctum on the first Sunday in February.

Going into it, the intention was simple. I wanted to create a space that felt inviting enough for people to slow down and feel comfortable staying for a while. Not a market you move through quickly, but one you can settle into.

We were thoughtful about the layout, the pace, and the overall feel of the room. Because of that, people didn’t need direction. They came in, got a drink, talked to vendors, found a place to sit, and stayed. It felt natural.

That’s really what Sanctum is.

It’s a market, but it’s designed to support more than just transactions. It creates an environment where small businesses and guests can share the same space in a way that feels easy and unforced.

For now, it shows up as a market. Over time, it will take on other forms, but the intention will stay the same.

It’s something I’m continuing to build.

How cute were the personalized candles?

Having calligraphy done on-site was such a thoughtful touch. Watching people add their names, birthdays, and little messages made each candle feel even more special.

This post is long overdue.

Two Sundays ago we hosted our first Sanctum, and it honestly exceeded my wildest dreams.

Chicago showed up.

People shopped, yes. But they also lingered. They talked. They sat at the bar. They made time to just be.

And without having to explain it, the room understood the vibe. The energy we hoped for happened naturally.

We hosted a candle-making class, and someone chose to spend their birthday with us. That meant more than I can put into words.

Sanctum was created as a third space. A place to gather, not just transact. A space to feel comfortable being around other people again.

Thank you to everyone who came, supported, and trusted the vision.

We’ll see you this spring as we continue creating space. We’re just getting started.
