That’s a wrap! For real this time 🤣 I’m putting the 2026 racing season to bed and my body is so very ready for some recovery and rehab (@triumph_pt we got some work to do 😁)

What a year it’s been. Kicked it off and ended it how I usually do with 1/2 marathons book ending my season.
- RunApalooza half marathon, April
- IRONMAN 70.3 Chattanooga, May
- Hyrox Doubles, June
- IRONMAN Lake Placid, July
- IRONMAN Maryland, September
- Jersey Shore Half Marathon, October

And the best part is that every single race this year was done with friends 🩷 my heart is so full and I am so grateful! But I know my family will kill me and my roomy will kick me out if I add anything else to the calendar this year.

Sooooo next up! Rock n Roll half marathon in Vegas in February. And lining up the rest of my 2027 season. Until then, it’s time to get some muscle back on this body and come back stronger for my new age group 🤗 💪

Ambassador Spotlight 📢 Maggie Freeman 🙌
Can you imagine…you’re at your first triathlon, you don’t really know what to do, your running friend is supposed to meet you there to guide you and help calm your nerves and she doesn’t… show…up! 🤬

So what do you do?

Well, Maggie cried, had a disastrous swim, she came in close to last on the bike, and then she ran everyone down and won her age group!! 😍

Now that’s a badass right there! 💪

The story of her first triathlon teaches us the importance of believing in ourselves and trusting our training. It will see us through to the finish. 😊

It doesn't hurt that Maggie’s always been athletic, playing sports in school, teaching aerobics in college but it wasn’t until she was in the police academy that she started dabbling in Multisport and now she specializes in long course triathlons.

Of all the races Maggie has participated in, the one that stands out the most is an event early on in her pursuit of sport—the Great Floridian iron-distance race.

It wasn’t her finishing time that made it so memorable (which she modestly describes as "OK"), but rather the experience of having her parents there cheering her on, and the special moment of carrying her niece across the finish line. 💜

Maggie is a fan of My Race Tatts because of the support they provide during the tough, dark moments of racing, especially events like Ironman.

She says that even though she won her most recent race, she struggled on the bike and just wanted to give up, quit her race. The conditions were terrible. She had no idea what place she was in and the demons were making their way into her head.

In those dark moments, the two race tatts on her hands became her lifeline. She looked at them constantly and they helped her quit the negative thoughts, refocus, stay in the game, and fight through to the finish. 🙌

She’s got a favorite, “I Am Strong, I Am Focused, I Am Ready”. This mantra reminds her that she has completed the work, so it’s time to trust the training and get it done!
