The official count: one race, endless #sousvide egg bites, and a whole lot of inspiration. 👏

The Cuisine Solutions @ironmanamericas 70.3 Eagleman had it all. From powering athletes with chef-crafted proteins to Kegs & Eggs with @athleticbrewing, chef demos, yoga with @yogitriathlete, and finish-line celebrations, we spent the weekend doing what we love most: bringing people together through great food and performance.

We loved cheering on Team Cuisine, our athlete partners @jessrhood & @ironheartbb, and everyone who showed up ready to test their limits. 💪

Hey, JFK runners!! @ironheartbb is reaching out for our help! He has created a virtual blood drive in alignment with the 62nd Annual JFK50 Mile as a way of thanking the blood donors who helped his young son during his 4 open-heart surgeries.

When you pledge to donate, the pledge itself is a promise that you will schedule an appointment to donate blood in the near future. Brian will be writing down all the names of all the pledges on his bib number to carry with him throughout his JFK50 run. His goal is to get 50 pledges by race day. Our very own race director was the first to pledge in this year's drive! Let's help Brian meet & exceed his goal by pledging today!

More details on this virtual blood drive can be found at the link in our bio.

"In 2019, we had our 20-week ultrasound, and that is when we found out the extent of the cardiac defects Liam has. It was a normal procedure – the technician is checking the anatomy, all the different types of measurements. We get to the heart, and the technician gets very quiet, and a few minutes later, she brings in the doctor to evaluate the situation. The doctor begins to tell us the extent of the congenital heart disease. That was when we first heard what we would be preparing for over the next few months leading up to Liam's arrival.

We delivered at Washington Hospital Center, and my wife stayed at the hospital while I went with Liam to Children's National Hospital. He had all his team members ready, getting him hooked up to the machines, ultrasounds, EKGs – all the different types of cardiac equipment and medications. They observed him for the next few days, and on the fifth day, they went in for the first surgery. It was a very complex surgery, and he had a follow-up surgery the day after that. We spent five weeks in the cardiac ICU at Children's.

He just turned 4 years old in August, and he is a bundle of joy. He's so strong, always has a smile on his face, full of energy. We're just so thrilled with the progress he's been making since his last heart surgery.

Last year, we were in the hospital on Thanksgiving, having our Thanksgiving meal as he recovered from surgery. I remember thinking that if things improved, I would get back out there and share our family’s appreciation.

I'm an endurance athlete, and I thought, ‘I would love to do another SleevesUp campaign.’ I've done several of these in the past for other ultramarathons. If I ran 100 miles, my goal was to bring in 100 blood donation pledges. This was my first time doing it for a 50-mile race: the JFK 50, America's oldest ultramarathon.

We ended up getting 78 pledges, and I put their names on the race bib that I carried with me throughout the race. It was our way of showcasing Liam's donors, bringing that awareness of the importance of blood donation around the holiday season, and bringing that gift of life full circle. I was able to go and wear my finisher shirt to donate blood."

We all have our “why” when it comes to running. Brian Boyle’s why happens to be his son Liam, who was born with a rare heart condition and had to fight to survive from an early age. Long miles fueled by a father’s love on a new episode an available now!

My sweetest and closest Jewish friend Amanda. And she loves the Lord. Amanda has spent a great deal of time in Israel. I was fortunate and blessed to celebrate Thanksgiving with her.

Today, I had one of the best Thanksgiving Day celebrations with family and close friends that I've ever had. It was glorious. We finished off the day with Pickleball by the beach. This was my first time ever playing Pickleball and I've got the scars to prove it! I fell hard going after the ball three times. I might have broken a toe and I got a serious abrasion on my hand. I loved every minute of it!
