Hi Friends 🤗

My 50k race this weekend got cancelled 😿

However the party must go on 😈 so I decided to run this weekend at Aliso Woods Canyon. 🥳

I’ll be doing 3½x 9mile loops. If anyone would like to join for a loop or two (or 3.5) feel free to hop in! I’ll start at 6:30 and each loop should take roughly 2hrs. I’ll share my tracking so that way if you want to join for loop 2 or 3 you can see if I’m behind or ahead of schedule!

When: Saturday @ 6:30am*
Where: W Ridge Trail, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656
What: 3½loops = 50k ! Join for 1 loop, 2 loops or all!

There’s bathrooms at mile 6 of the loop water at miles 6 and 9

Course link in bio!

*It is supposed to rain tonight so I’ll be checking the website and send updates if I end up postponing to Sunday or changing locations

THE REVIEWS ARE IN.

BANGER mindset.
BANGER documentary.
BANGER race.

Road to Redemption, our latest #LT100Run documentary, has officially surpassed 10,000 views.

When we set out to make a Leadville documentary, we knew generally the story we would tell: the pre race prep, the start line, the exciting early miles. But from there, as with any ultramarathon, so much is unknown.

Will he finish the race? Will his stomach hold up? Can he handle the altitude? Turns out the biggest wrench in Blake’s plan was something none of us expected.

But the social media twist is only one part of this story.

If you’ve watched the film, thank you. We’re so grateful for all the support and so happy to hear how it’s resonated with you. From the laughter to the tears, we hope @ironmilesco story leaves you inspired to run your own road back to redemption.

Any friend can ask you to meet for coffee or a drink but not many will show up on a Weds morning at 5:30am to go run trails in the dark…but this group does and for that I am very thankful! I love our weekly group run where we share some miles while exploring the trails and catching up with one another on life, races run over the weekend, and training!

Please reach out if you ever want to join! Everyone is always welcome whether you’re a veteran trail runner or are curious of trail running, a fast marathoner or someone just out to enjoy the miles, training for your first 5k or going for 200 miles- we would love to have you join us!

Some behind the scenes moments from filming the latest #LT100RUN documentary this summer.

Leadville: Road to Redemption has already surpassed our views on the previous ultra doc and I’m just so relieved. I’m also happy, but you learn not to put too much emotion into into a single project. I make what I make and I hope it lands with others, but sometimes it doesn’t and that can absolutely crush you.

I have a pretty high standard and it can be tough just to say this is good enough and call it finished. All the phone calls, texts, DM’s, driveway chats with my neighbors (yes) and general feedback we’ve had the last three days since we hit publish have been super encouraging.

The biggest thing standing in my way has always been perfection. Once I let that go and started actually making movies with the tools I had in the time I had with literally no money, I started gaining traction.

Thanks everyone for your support along the way. My goal is always to make movies I’d want to watch: fast, fun, a little dramatic, and definitely some tears by the end. Hope you enjoy, more to come 🫶🏻

Happy Medal Monday!! Congratulations to everyone who crushed their races this weekend!

Featured- Halia (@pagehalia) finished her first World Major at the Chicago Marathon, MaryKatherine (@mklim127) and Nikki (@bkmom72) both ran strong races at the Long Beach Half Marathon, Amanda (@writtenritmos) finished her first 50k with an amazing race at Kodiak Ultramarathons, and Blake (@ironmilesco) ran a PR in the 50k at Kodiak Ultramarathons!

Not pictured is @otg.runs finishing his first 50 Mile at That’s No Moon!!!

And Moab 240…it got cancelled when the leaders were at mile 200 due to insane weather (flash flooding, high winds, trees falling down all along the route, etc). So glad everyone was able to get out safely!

Amazing job this weekend! Loved being along for the journey leading up to race day and following you guys throughout the weekend! 💪🙌👏🎉

Wishing everyone an amazing race this weekend! Such a great weekend for running- let’s GO!!!!

@pagehalia is running the Chicago Marathon as a B race (No Name 50k is her A race in a couple weeks) and also to celebrate turning 24 years old today- happiest of birthdays!!! One of the most consistent, always showing up despite working full time and this crazy heat! She’s ready to go for a big PR at No Name!

@writtenritmos (not pictured) is running her first 50k at @kodiak_ultramarathons! She’s a busy mama to 4 kids but finding ways to fit training in when she can and continues to set big goals for herself- truly an inspiration!

@mklim127 (not pictured) is running the Long Beach 1/2 marathon on Sunday! I love how she has balanced working full time and raising two young kids to be best prepared for this race! She’s so ready for a great day!!

@bkmom72 (not pictured) is balancing a busy life as a high school teacher and training for Long Beach 1/2 marathon and Hyrox in Dec! I love how versatile Nikki is and how she’s always up for a hard challenge! Wishing you a great day out there on Sunday!

@ironmilesco is going back to @kodiak_ultramarathons to run the 50k this weekend! No doubt he will have a great race and a ton of fun on the trails! He also just released his documentary on his Leadville 100- go check it out!!

@otg.runs is running his first 50 mile at @aravaipacalifornia That’s No Moon! He has the ultra bug after running Riley Trail Races! He’s eager and ready to test how far his body can go! First up is this weekend’a race but then he will continue to test the limits at his first backyard ultramarathon next month! So excited for Nate- you’ve got this! Have so much fun tomorrow!

And then there’s Moab 240! Loving all the posts and stories so far!

Are you racing this weekend? If so, what race and distance?

Here’s where our journey started.

As a documentary filmmaker, I’m always looking for a good story. When @ironmilesco told me he was running a hundred miles, I had so many questions. And that’s how I knew this was interesting. How many other people have never heard of this? How many were also wondering how he sleeps, eats… Takes a sh*t in the middle of the woods?!

Problem was I hadn’t picked up a camera in some time. I had been working professionally as an editor and producer, so I was cutting other people’s footage and directing DP’s on set. Making my own movies again really intimidated me.

But I’m so glad I did it anyway.

This was some of my original footage from that 2024 @kodiak_ultramarathons race. I used an outdated Sony a6000 with kit lense and my iPhone to make a mini series. The next year, I showed up ready to film and that experience turned into our first documentary, CHASING SUB 24. And this year? We went to @leadvilleraceseries with a three cameras, pro audio, and a drone.

The next doc is on its way, this Friday 10/9 @4pm Pacific.

TAKE THE LONG WAY.

Six months since we launched Reality Run.

Some days it feels like a lifetime. Others, like we just started yesterday.

One thing the last six months has reinforced: brands aren’t built overnight.

They’re built slowly. Through patience, persistence, thoughtful decisions, wrong turns, lessons learned, and the people willing to believe in what you’re building before it’s fully built.

There’s always pressure to move faster. Grow faster. Get bigger.

But we’re learning there’s value in taking our time. Building meaningful relationships. Creating experiences people remember. Making product with intention. Staying curious about where this can go without rushing to get there.

We still have a long way to go.

That’s the point.

TAKE THE LONG WAY
