What does it look like when a single person has mastered architecture, design, sculpture, painting, drawing, stop motion filmmaking, photography, and cooking — and then builds a life around all of it for a family of 5? This week on Life in Small Spaces, we’re inside a thoughtful and magical home tucked away in the Los Angeles hills that answers that question completely.

Full tour available on our YouTube channel, link in bio. 🔗

We want what we want and we want it now.

I’ve been at it everyday — chasing the feeling of being alive — and boy do I still believe it’s within our reach. We gotta walk tall baby, or don’t walk at all.

Nashville. Chicago. Los Angeles. Pittsburgh. Pacentro. Everywhere. But still trying to remember that inside of yourself, right now, is the only place you have.

For @itsplainasjane and I, our time with @loudobnoxious @saylavie @carrlynbathe @hammerme @violentgentlemen @tommorello @irwinopolis @heidiology_la every minute spent in their company felt like the greatest hug you could ever received.

A few months back, I had the opportunity to visit Murano in Venice. To put it simply, this experience was beyond all expectations and has become one of the most memorable and inspiring things I will most likely ever experience.

I was able to explore Murano and its beautiful scenery, but above all else, I was able to visit the legendary glass master, Lino Tagliapietra. For multiple days, we walked and talked, sharing stories and laughs, and he showed me his work, shop, and even his tools!

I debated posting this video because I still have a hard time comprehending all that happened, but I figured it was about time. Lino's passion and love for his work were contagious, and even more so with his love for teaching others. At ninety-two, Lino possesses so much knowledge and one of the biggest hearts I have ever seen, which extends past himself to his lovely family and even to all those who have been with/worked with him over the years. For me, watching this video brings me so much joy and laughter, and I hope it will do the same for others.

Beautifully shot and edited by @irwinopolis
