No selfie last night. Too much going on, as usual. Fortunately, we have photos, video and sound to look back on.

TOUCHING SOUND – Improvisation Between Sound and Body, at @kuehlspot_social_club, as part of @tagderclubkultur.

I wrote a text about free improvisation and dance, about bodies and sounds interfering with each other, and about the things that happen in performance that nobody could have planned beforehand. Then we put some of these questions to the test, with a reading and two live sets featuring @harukaili and @sukandar.glui.

I was particularly glad to see people who had found the event through Tag der Clubkultur, not just friends and familiar faces.

Thanks to @isabel_anders_ for curating the programme and inviting me, to Haruka and Sukandar for joining me in this, to @dankujawa for creating Haruka’s costume, to @bow0426 for the photo and video documentation, and to Christoph and @trombonatuba at Kühlspot for taking care of the technical side.

A good evening, and plenty to return to in the recordings.

Poetry in sound and forward motion. Check out the images of the first #biegungenimausland back from our summer break.

Thanks again to the wonderful @hobokollektiv for his wonderful photography. Thanks also to Tadklimp for making sure every hit lands and every scale sings, and to Silvie, Chiara and Dava for their work FOH and BTS. And thanks to @ericszehonwong for lending Eric Mingus his tele 🎸

Big, big thanks to the artists: to 8Y7 (Isabel Anders and Lázara Rosell Albear) for the graceful flutters and forceful kicks, and to Eric Mingus and Catherine Sikora for reminding us, in sound, to be present.

And, as always, we are grateful to everyone who came to listen, and support creative musics and musicians.

The last #biegungenimausland of 2026 takes place on 11.10.2026. Come down, and help us go out with a bang (and a squeak, skronk, crash and klang).
