For @lukasdhont, the meaning of courage is something to be questioned.

With his previous films, Girl and Close, the acclaimed Belgian filmmaker has made a name for himself by exploring the delicate space between tenderness and the harsh realities of the world.
In Coward, his newest film and Belgium’s official Oscar submission, he turns to the First World War to tell a story about love, vulnerability and the courage to be yourself.

For ELLE, Dhont opens up about challenging traditional ideas of masculinity, finding intimacy in unexpected places and giving voice to those whose love stories have remained hidden.

‘COWARD’ by @lukasdhont premiered yesterday at Gent Film Festival

Absolutely crazy that I got to be part of this beautiful (and slightly insane) project as head of custom design.
Thank you for the trust @lukasdhont & @isabel_vr

These two pictures are the beginning and the end of my COWARD era

First pic: me at the wrap party with @lukasdhont and @isabel_vr , approximately 1 year and 100 costumes later

Second pic: me reading the script for the first time, in disbelief and having absolutely NO idea what I was getting myself into :))))

I’ll share more soon, but for now I feel like these two say enough.

COWARD OPENING GHENT FILM FESTIVAL TONIGHT! RELEASE IN ALL BELGIAN CINEMAS FROM 21/10.

Being a choreographer + movement coach on this film has been so special! Not only because I was back on a set with @lukasdhont since @girl_thefilm, but also because of the extremely talented people I got to meet on this project and the beautiful story we were building.
