Thrilled to share that my work will be part of The Skin of the Earth Is Seamless an exhibition at The International Studio & Curatorial Programs @iscp_nyc bringing together eight artists—Seba Calfuqueo, Magdalena Ciemierkiewicz, Verónica Gaona, Gi (Ginny) Huo, Simon Liu, Brenda Mallory, Kara Springer, and Nardeen Srouji. Working across sculpture, photography, printmaking, film, and video, the artists trace the effects of division through materials, landscapes, and memory. Shifting away from documentary modes, their works employ abstraction and material transformation—including fragmentation and acts of repair—to examine the marks that displacement, extraction, and colonial violence leave behind. Borders become perceptible as objects are reassembled, images split and overlap, and fragile forms are stitched together. The Skin of the Earth Is Seamless is curated by Melinda Lang @melindamlang , Director of Programs and Exhibitions at ISCP. The exhibition’s reading area was developed by Nicolas Poblete @nico.le.bo, Programs and Exhibitions Intern, in collaboration with Melinda Lang. It is accompanied by an illustrated catalogue featuring an essay by Lang and a resource bibliography by Poblete. I’ll be there for the opening reception, so swing by on Tuesday, October 27, from 6–8 pm and say hi! The exhibition will be on view from October 27, 2026 – February 12, 2027 ✨💐🥂

Hans Rosenström’s exhibition Conspirare at ISCP closed last weekend, but I was lucky enough to see it just before it was dismantled. The title comes from the Latin for “to breathe together” or “to sound in unison.” The exhibition draws inspiration from nearby Newtown Creek, a polluted Superfund site that is, surprisingly, home to species such as ribbed mussels, which cling to steel and concrete piers and slowly but steadily filter the polluted water through their bodies. @hans.rosenstrom @melindamlang @iscp_nyc #contemporaryart #exhibition #nyc

Anna Pajak (SWE), IASPIS Artist in Residence at ISCP in New York October–December 2026 @annapajak @iscp_nyc @iaspis.se Anna Pajak is a painter and printmaker. Her starting point is often a bodily sensation translated into the visual. In her works she explores geometrical spaces and architectural elements such as surfaces, patterns, and depths. Pajak merges color, symbols, and perspectives into a visionary imagery where the abstract meets the figurative. Drawing from modernist female painters, spiritualism, and dreams, Pajak deconstructs and recombines symbols, images, shapes, and architectural fragments in ways that challenge traditional contexts and interpretations. Her large- scale paintings bring a sense of another dimension to life – a reality on the border to dream and fiction. Anna Pajak (b. 1992) holds an MFA from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, graduating in 2020. Pajak is represented by Wetterling Gallery and her work has been exhibited in galleries and institutional contexts across Sweden, Norway, and Germany, including Gävle Konstcentrum (Gävle), Alma Löv Museum of Unexp. Art (Östra Ämtervik), QSPA Gallery (Oslo), Stene Projects (Stockholm), Kunstverket Galleri (Oslo), and the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, among others. Pajak has been the recipient of grants and awards, including those from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee, the Queen Sonja Inspirational Award, the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, Helge Ax:son Stiftelse and the Nell Walden grant. In 2023, she unveiled a large-scale public artwork in Hagastaden, Stockholm. Anna Pajak. Photo: Foto: Jean-Baptiste Béranger.
