This was ~ not~ the year that I’d hoped it would be by any means and parts of it were really tough. I had weeks without work and at times it really felt like everyone was excelling except for me. But despite all of that, I really dug deep and pushed outside my comfort zone and made lots of photographs I’m really proud of. Enormous love to all the friends and clients who continue to trust my creative direction- there are a lot of people here doing really amazing work and I don’t take it for granted that enough people choose to work with me to pay the bills. Love you all.

“We have this moment and just this one life- We get to choose how we spend it and the emotion of what we leave behind. After having Francis, that hit me like a ton of bricks. Its not just about us and our home and what we have, its about what we do with that. When we started Project Paulie it was about being there for others if we were able - saying yes even when we didnt know how we would do it- figuring it all out as we go. This Thanksgiving we say that more than ever. Writing this is hard, im crying I dont have to words to capture the emotiuon and the beauty of this project. This is what love is. love is making sure everyone at the table has food and the joy In being able to make sure we all have food. Its just one meal, but that one meal can be powerful. Comforting in a time of discomfort and uncertainty. It can show you that someone cares- that you are loved and seen. Its the ripple that keeps going from a skipped rock. We are not saving the world, but my hope is that a smile can send a bit of hope and maybe that hope sends a ripple in our lives when we need it the most. No matter how much we are able to do and how many deserving families we feed I cant help but think I get more out of this than they do and I feel so incredibly thankful. Thankful for the privlege and support to do this work. Proud to show my Daugther that this is not what we do, this is who we are. That when others need you you put your hand out. At the baseline, thats all this is. A hand to hold if you need one. Thank you to everyone who donated and shared and carried turkeys and drove trucks and wrote cards. It’s the honor of my life to do this beside you.” -Nicky (@motheroffrancis ) WEFEEDEACHOTHER

Recently, we had the pleasure of capturing photos and creating a video featuring the talented artist @annadidathing 🎨 for @zone3westernave and @isenbergprojects 💡. This stunning 1500+ sq ft mural, located behind the Honan-Allston Branch of the Boston Public Library 📚, showcases her incredible work. Take a look at some of our favorite shots from the project! 🎥📸

Finished a new mural yesterday in Allston, MA!
Back in the day I used to go to basement shows and dive bars (I loved Great Scott!!) to see bands play in Allston. In recent years it’s had a face lift and now hosts craft breweries and commercial storefronts. Through the iterations of Allston the artists have always been creating, and I’m glad for places like @zone3westernave and @isenbergprojects to be supporting the arts in Allston. Artists help communities thrive (and stay weird!)

The mural I made pays homage to the neon sign at Blanchards Liquors in Allston @blanchardsallston
Blanchards is a regular local chain liquor store with elaborate neon signs of a bygone era. I first knew of the one in Allston, then lived for a long time by the iconic green sign in Medford, and now moved near another big sign in Revere.
The mural also reflects the detailed architecture in the neighborhood, street lamps, apartments along Comm. Ave, and the moodiness of a night walking home in Allston.

What a beautiful project, from top to bottom. 🥹🧡

Thank you so much @dresayproductions for capturing a video that really encompasses the soul of this mural. From designing, to painting, to celebrating with the community - this project came directly from the heart.

So grateful to have worked with amazing people at @isenbergprojects & @zone3westernave to bring this to life. The support from the community, family, and friends were the sweetest cherries on top. 🫶🏼🫶🏼
