“Nequid Pereat: Harvest”. 🤎🎨📸 This installation by Eila Goldhahn consists of multiple plough blades which, as you can see, are embedded into the ground in a spiral formation. If you’re wondering what Nequid Pereat means, it’s a Latin motto which means “Let Nothing Go To Waste”. You know where else you’ll find this inspiring motto? If you look closely, it is also inscribed in gold above the infamous 14th century clock which resides on the exterior of Wells Cathedral. 💛🕰️💬 ….oh and by the way, there are actually 2 cool art installations in this picture. The Edge of Land 2nd-25th November 2026 Andy Lee photographer- Isobel Kidd sculptor - Isobel Kidd Sculpture Studio and Gallery Pembroke #theedgeofland#andylee#isobelkidd#contemporarysculpture#photography#freshwatereast At the foot of the cliffs at Freshwater East lie extraordinary sea-worn boulders, their dark, folded surfaces shaped by erosion and partially covered in vivid green marine growth. The surrounding geology dates largely from the Silurian and Devonian periods, approximately 420–400 million years ago. What fascinates me is how these ancient rocks appear almost organic, their surfaces resembling folded skin or compressed tissue. They are remarkable examples of how geological time and the continual movement of the sea transform the edge of land. These photographs, taken during my field research, have become the starting point for a new series of monumental sculptures for The Edge of Land. #FieldResearch #FreshwaterEast #Pembrokeshire #TheEdgeOfLand #ContemporarySculpture

. Ghosts Of All We’ve Ever Been Artwork Profile: Crazy Golf by Eila Goldhahn A set of 7 photographs taken of an abandoned crazy golf course in Cornwall. Just delightful! Just imagine all the fun (and frustration) that was had by the many people who tackled these obstacles. There must be so many happy memories out there somewhere that enable this crazy golf course to live on. In reality its time is over and nature begins to reclaim it all. The fake plastic grass holding out just a bit longer. Somebody put a lot of effort into making this and I bet they were so happy with the tyre loop-the-loop. Had I have had more time I’d have recreated it to sit with the work! In many ways it’s quite sad looking over these photographs. Memories of a time passed. A holiday perhaps. Yet still there’s something joyous in there. I love having them in the show. Over in the corner they’re a part of a green element that gradually creeps through as you walk around. They’re surrounded by other works that discuss nostalgia and memories of place. It’s a lovely experience. Eila explains: “Mini golf courses typically feature playful obstacles such as tunnels, tubes, ramps, windmills, and wells. During the Korean and Vietnam Wars, the U.S. military began producing portable versions of these courses, which were shipped overseas and installed for G.I.s and veterans to enjoy as a form of recreation.“ Ghosts Of All We’ve Ever Been continues until 9th May

I only just recently got to watch the video of our performance-in-an-exhibition, back in Feb, so extracted a few new stills: Putting our House in Order - a Shared Habitat collaboration between Eila Goldhahn, Stuart J Young, Mike McInerney & myself, @ Birdwood House gallery, Totnes. More lovely images of the exhibition and words on the concept behind it all at https://sharedhabitat.net/Putting-our-House-in-Order-Totnes-2026 ( stills from video footage by Stuart )

. Some images of Ghosts Of All We’ve Ever Been. Whilst this gives you a great idea of the work on show, there’s so much more to discover. You HAVE TO see it for real! 🌞 The curation is unconventional in parts and I’m very grateful for all of the artists’ trust. There was a great sense of bravery climbing up high to suspend paintings in corners and position things where you might not necessarily see them right away. However, the storytelling and flow of imagery, colour, film, and sound has been excessively considered and I’m really happy with the result. Excitingly, I’ve managed to secure this space for further events over the year. My head is spinning with the possibilities. One thing at a time though. Ghosts Of All We’ve Ever Been continues Fridays and Saturdays only until 9th May. 🤍 #artshow #ghostsofallweveeverbeen #afractionofforever #cornwallart #dontmissit #oldschoolhouse #curation #considered #contemporaryart #redruth
