Italy, but make it a retreat.

After a few weeks in Rome, Amalfi and Tuscany I joined 30+ travelers for sunrise yoga, opera under the stars, and the kind of connections that stayed with me long after I left.

The heart of every retreat? The people.

✨~ Profound learning happens in the Parasympathetic Nervous System ~
.
✨ Yin Yoga ✨
~ Restorative Gentle yoga🧘☯️🙏✨
.
The parasympathetic nervous system is your body’s built in relaxation mode.

It works by slowing down your heart rate and reducing Stress, helping you to find balance in both body and mind.
.
When you build this state with daily practice of calm your brain can focus better allowing you to absorb and retain information more efficiently.
.

✨See you tomorrow morning :) 🌅

As I get older, I find myself longing for slow travel and easy enjoyments. Sometimes, places like @villalabelleetoile inspire me to start daydreaming. I imagine myself staying for a month or two or three— disappearing into the fabric of daily life there. It's an intoxicating thought, and one that I so nearly give into, often.

While all the rooms and spaces of this beachside villa were immaculately curated with calm and intention, this little piano sitting room, with its dusky pink hexagon tiles and organic-shaped ironwork completely stole my heart.
