I joined the @bustlingspacesllc Collective Catalyst Cohort to meet and work alongside founders like me who work daily to bring arts and creativity to our communities. It's been an honor to meet and co-conspire with @the.blkroom, @chi_brations, @isproacademy, @chicagowindycityramblers. 💡

💸 This week, we're launching our collective fundraising campaign to ask our networks to support our work going into 2027. You can donate to our campaign at bustlingspaces.com/we-are-one-2026. Link in bio.

What happens when founders have the resources, community, and support they need to bring their vision to life? 🧠

The Collective Catalyst Cohort helps make it possible for founders of organizations like @isproacademy and @blkroom to raise funds to support their programming while building a network of people who are invested in seeing them succeed.

Brian Sykes, Marlon King, and Camila Vick share what being part of the cohort means to them and the impact of having a community behind their work. 🤝

📢 📢 HEY THERE, DENIZENS OF THE ARTIVERSE:

Quick question:

What are your thoughts about collective fundraising for Arts & Culture?

Wanna think it through with us?

👞 We're getting ready to take a major step forward in our efforts to commit to supporting small arts & culture orgs, and we want you to journey with us as we do.

🫱🏿‍🫲🏾 In a couple of weeks, we'll be launching our $20K "We Are One" collective fundraising campaign to support the amazing members of our pilot Collective Catalyst Cohort:
@zitlalicreative , @isproacademy , @chi_brations , @the.blkroom, and the @chicagowindycityramblers.

📢 IN ADDITION - we want to help elevate the conversation around collective fundraising for Arts & Culture sector-wide. What are you trying? What have you learned? What are your questions? Sound off in the comments below or on our blog!

Beyond meeting and surpassing our fundraising goal, our hope is that this initiative will provide a platform for discussion for innovative ways to fund our futures together: to improve, ripple outward, and provide a springboard for other collectives who are committing to themselves and one another to protect the vital institutions, programs, and artists that serve their communities.

We rise, or fall, together - we have the power to decide which outcome we want to see.

📝 Take a look at our latest blog entry, “All Together Now - Towards a Collective Fundraising Ethos," and let us know how you envision us collectively fundraising for our future in the Arts & Culture Sector.

🏙️🎬 NEW MUSIC VIDEO RELEASE: “CITY” 🏙️🔥

The next chapter of I Heard The City Breathe is here.

“City” features artists SaINT and Mykah Estelle, bringing emotion, reflection, and honesty to a song that speaks directly to the youth experience in the inner city. This song captures the moment when young people begin to truly see the world around them — the beauty, the pressure, the contradictions, the struggle, and the questions that come with growing up in the city.

“City” is a reflection of how youth start to perceive the ups and downs of the inner city. They begin to question the reality around them, trying to understand what they see, what they feel, and what it means to survive, dream, and grow in a place that can be both inspiring and challenging.

The “City” music video gives you another powerful look into the world of I Heard The City Breathe — a project rooted in Chicago, Black life, creative expression, and the voices of artists telling their stories through music and film.

And we’re bringing this entire experience to the stage.

Join us for 7METRIX Presents: I Heard The City Breathe LIVE at the Beverly Arts Center — a night of live music, storytelling, film, and community. Watch the video, listen to the EP, and make sure you’re in the room for the live concert.
