Our toxic trait? Believing the right partnership deserves another thoughtfully worded email. Behind every beautifully stocked gifting suite is an agency with a spreadsheet, a follow-up schedule and several versions of “hope you’re well.” At The Well Connected, we know the first pitch starts the conversation. Following through is part of the work. RAIN Group’s sales research found an average of eight touchpoints to secure an initial meeting or other conversion with a new prospect. That’s general sales research, but it puts the one-email-and-wait approach into perspective. Our approach to event sponsorship? Give the brand a reason to keep talking. Show who’s in the room, how the experience supports its goals and what a partnership could actually achieve. Then follow up with something worth opening. Sending “just checking in” repeatedly needs its own intervention.
