Happy to announce my first tour after nearly a year of break from touring and my first tour in the balkans. I will perform a new set based on my recently developed remote setup (where I will stream my virus synth from my server in Italy), on which I will elaborate more in the next weeks as it’s part of a little bit bigger project than that one. Looking forward!

At the end of September, we are honoured to present a series of events within @simultan_org days in Timisoara!
The festival's 21st edition, entitled “AGAINST RESOLUTION: Unfinished Thinking / Undisciplined Art,” runs from Sept 24–27 (with side programmes through Oct 4) at MX—Corneliu Mikloși Museum.

On Sept 27, we were invited by our friends to present the OFFBEAT programme—a short retrospective of our endeavours in 2025–2026 and future perspectives for all explorers of obscure sounds.
We will continue with a series of listenings on Sept 29, introducing the fierce collectors @lenhartapes , @muzicadevest , and @dragos_rusu_w to the local audience.

Vladimir Lenhart is a tape manipulator known especially for his striking and unforgettable performances. He has been an avid collector of audio cassettes for a long time, digging for field recordings, rare folk music, propaganda material, and albums from various musical genres.

George Staicu is a DJ and organizer of unconventional events in Oradea and Budapest, as well as the owner of @lazyhourrecords . He travels between imaginary worlds with great spiritual tunes, ranging from exotic sounds to noise, amoeba to free jazz, and funk to the obscure.

Dragoș Rusu is a DJ, journalist, sound researcher, cultural curator, and co-founder of @the.attic.magazine . His DJ sets are famously eclectic, moving seamlessly across genres and regions—from gritty techno and acid house to African, Arabic, and contemporary Roma rhythms.

Following our music library program in Bucharest, the next day we will show a sample from our collection: the Takashi Ito Film Anthology DVD, an audiovisual double feature of Japanese avant-garde cinema. The screening highlights the intense creative symbiosis between director Takashi Ito’s hyper-kinetic experimental cinema and the haunting electronic scores of his long-running collaborator, Takashi Inagaki.

Until our offbeat ventures in Timișoara, don’t miss out on the SIMULTAN Festival’s uncompromising look at experimental music and related practices. See you there!

In an energy landscape shaped by centralized grids, the energy harvesting workshop led by Lorena Cocora @lorenacocora brought hands-on power generation to Timișoara. The workshop reframed ambient-harvested energy not as an abstract concept, but as a tangible source, demonstrating how light and thermal shifts can be captured using solar panels and Peltier modules. During the practical part, participants jumped straight into building with piezoelectric sensors: soldering them in parallel, constructing diode bridges to convert alternating current into direct current, and charging capacitors using mechanical pressure. By assembling these circuits, the workshop shifted focus away from passive consumption toward a direct understanding of the technical systems surrounding us.

A huge thank you to @centruldeproiecte for making this shared exploration possible!

Over the past days, Australian sound artist Brigitte Hart @tinysound has been following a loose trail through Timișoara, from crystal growth laboratories and flea markets to other encounters with the city’s technological and material histories.

Working together with local artist Dorian Bolca @dorianbolca, she is tracing connections between water, light, radio relics and technological remains as part of her ongoing research, Rivers, Relics, Radiation. Their collaboration brings Brigitte’s sound-based practice into dialogue with Dorian’s work across lighting design, light art and visual experimentation.

This Saturday, Brigitte will open up the process and speak about her wider practice, the places and materials encountered so far, and the questions that are beginning to shape her new work.
