For every ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ this firework season, there’s a tremble and a whimper from stressed out animals 💔

Sadly, we hear stories each year of animals’ stress leading to injury and in some cases, even death. That’s why we’ve been feeding into the UK Government’s firework consultation, with your help, to finally quieten the noise.

But while we wait, we wanted to share some advice for how to create a calm, reassuring atmosphere for your pet. Check the link in our bio for our tips on supporting your animals through this tricky time

As Diwali Halloween and bonfire night is fast approaching countless amount of people and animals are impacted by fireworks.

Up to 66% of pet owners report that backyard firework displays are a major concern, with 64% of cats and 41% of dogs showing signs of severe fear or stress, leading to instances of bolting onto roads or fatal collisions.

Between 2010 and 2024, the UK recorded 1,468 horse-firework incidents, leading to 49 fatalities and 317 injuries (an average of over 100 horses killed or injured yearly).

Say no to fireworks displays and yes to alternative and silent fireworks

Drone Light Shows

• What it is: Dozens or hundreds of LED drones fly in formation, creating patterns, shapes, and animations in the sky.

• Noise level: 🌙 Silent — just a faint hum from the drones.

• Pros: No explosions, no debris, no smoke; highly customisable

Laser Light Shows

What it is: Colored laser beams projected into the sky, often choreographed to music.

Noise level: Silent — except for the music if added.

Pros: Eco-friendly, reusable, suitable indoors or outdoors.

Projection Mapping

What it is: Buildings or landmarks become animated canvases through video projection.

Noise level: Silent — only sound added if desired.

Pros: Great for storytelling or art displays, highly visual, no pollution.

The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything

@thecampbeagle is the world’s longest-running, permanent grassroots animal rights protest camp outside MBR Acres in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, a dog breeding factory, supplying over 2000 beagle puppies a year to laboratories in the UK and abroad for animal testing.

These experiments are both cruel and scientifically flawed:

During toxicology experiments a chemical or drug compound is repeatedly administered to the dogs, regularly increasing the doses, sometimes for up to 128 days.

Administration can be via injection, force-fed via a tube down their throats, applied to their skin or eyes, or forced to inhale chemical gases via a mask.

The doses are regularly increased causing the dogs severe pain and yet more suffering. At the end of the experiments, the surviving dogs are always killed, to conduct autopsy reports.

There are now superior non-animal methods (NAMs) based on human biology and human data which predict more accurately and effectively how the human body will respond to chemicals and drugs.

However, the UK Government and the animal testing industry are failing to transition and adopt the NAMs and new cutting-edge technologies required to advance scientific and medical research.

The Camp has been running 24/7 since the summer of 2021 working tirelessly on an exposure and pressure campaign to shut down MBR Acres.
