David Kessler says that the final stage of grief, Finding Meaning, isn’t about erasing pain or taking shortcuts. It’s about honouring their memory in your own time and your own way. Two years ago when Fred passed away, this last stage of grief seemed incredibly out of reach for me. I was incapable of seeing past the all-consuming pain I was experiencing or understanding that it had any type of positive meaning.

Now, as I reflect on this past year and my grief journey in particular, I know that losing Fred gave me the opportunity to learn lessons I’m not sure I would’ve been able to learn without experiencing a loss like his at such a pivotal time in my life. Fred’s passing taught me to find meaning in all parts of my life, to live in the present, and to love wholeheartedly. It taught me to find gratitude in each & every connection with which I cross paths, because nothing is random and everything happens for a reason, or a lesson.

It also taught me to tap into my spirituality in a way I was never able to before, and how to tune into the universe & be open to receiving signs. These photos are some of the favourite signs I’ve received from Fred. From sunsets with every hue of orange, to a heart-shaped leaf, these signs have provided me with reassurance that he’s always with me, no matter where in the world I may be. That the unconditional love we shared while he was on earth is not lost because he’s no longer physically here, but infinite. & that regardless of what the universe has in store for me, he will be here to remind me that there is meaning in everything.

Because everything is happening for me 🧡

so overwhelmed with love for all of those who came out, friends and family, on a Thursday night to celebrate the ending of my 20’s. Grateful is truly an understatement. I couldn’t narrow down this dump to 10 photos and I literally cannot tag more than 20 ppl a post so here’s a blimp.

Special shout-out to my one and only who always goes above and beyond for me, along with his sneaky collaborators 👀
