🤍 reviewing @drinkgishiki ceremonial grade matcha… *note: gifted collaboration! but all thoughts are MINE. cost: $32.99 for 30g tin -> $1.09/g cultivar: N/A region: uji, kyoto - ratio: 4g matcha: 55g water : 80g oatmilk - aroma: mildly sweet and nutty dry aroma - color: decently vibrant green - tasting experience: light body. bright and rich umami, milk-like creaminess, naturally sweet. unfortunately, my tin of matcha is grainy. - decent microfoam! i recommend adding 10-15g of additional water for easier whisking. ⭐️ OVERALL: 6/10 gishiki is an aapi+woman owned matcha business based in nyc! thank you so much @its.angiechen for kindly sending over their entire collection for me to try and review 🫶 my first ever shin chasen was from gishiki and it consistently whisked up the creamiest bowls of matcha. so happy to be reunited with my favorite chasen! i’m also excited to expand my hojicha horizons through their dark roast hojicha, so STAY TUNED for my review! i really enjoy the flavor profile of gishiki’s ceremonial matcha. it’s bright, rich in umami, naturally sweet, and has a milk-like creaminess that blends so beautifully together. however, the matcha is unfortunately GRAINY, even after sifting and doing the paste method. gishiki also does matcha pop-ups and events, so my tin could’ve just been a bad batch. i’m grateful nonetheless! 💛 #matcha #matchalatte #matchalover #unboxing #asmr

did you know hojicha was accidentally invented? Hojicha has less caffeine than matcha and tastes warm and nutty, the perfect afternoon slowdown. Swipe to learn where it came from, then find ours on the website. Link in bio. #hojicha #hojichalatte #japanesetea #pmlatte #drinkgishiki

your local yogurt girl takes on NYFW ❤️‍🔥 baby’s second NYFW!!! which is actually insane to say because never in my life did I think I, of all people, would get to live in NYC, let alone attend fashion week I think the most beautiful part of becoming is realizing you don’t have to choose just one version of yourself. I can be the corporate girl, the yogurt girl, the wellness girl, and somehow the fashion week girl too 🤙🏻 all while still figuring out who I am and what I want my life to look like thank you for being here for all the different sides of me and growing alongside me. It means more than you know 🥹❤️
