Super grateful for the love on “Jamaica Funk”! As artists we Dream All Day for support like this so thank you @spotify @spotifycanada & @applemusic for the playlist support! 📸- @officialnukky

We started this song back in 2022 and went through so many versions of it but nothing felt right until this one! Huge s/o to @laydeevee45 for the incredible vocals on this!

s/o @albertsrealjamaicanfoods for letting us use your beautiful space to shoot this video! If you’re ever in Toronto they have the BEST Jamaican food so make sure to check them out and NYAM UP DI FOOD when you there! 🇯🇲 🇨🇦

It’s truly a special moment when @laydeevee45 comes out and sings during my sets! Such powerful vocals! 🎤 “Jamaica Funk” is out now! Comment “jamaica” if you want the extended!

This song is special for a number of reasons✨

I started the concept when I was in high school. I created the top line melody and wrote the words, but didn’t feel the song was where it needed to be at the time to share it with the world. I put it on the back burner and continued on with other projects. Years later, I brought it to BC, who added his secret sauce to the music and vocal production, said this was gonna change the world as we know it (he didn’t say exactly that, but he’ll probably clarify in the comments 😂)

What was consistent between us both was “this track is gonna be something special!”

What’s resulted is a song that really puts you in the mood the melody dictates. Takes you to another world if I can describe it best. To thibk that this song started when I was 16/17 years seasoned, and can come out now and sounds like we made it yesterday is poetic. That’s what’s beautiful about music, the fact that no matter what time the art is created, it can grab you and take you to any moment in the past or present. Not tryna toot my own horn and claim we make timeless music, but I do feel weve been able to multiple this feeling time and time again🙏🏾🎶
