I am a mix of grief and joy- sweat and relief- pain and exhilaration- fear and forgiveness. I am blessed to always create with humans who re-member what freedom IS, what trans/ GNC/ 2S futures we are in defence of, what joy we deserve and what mourning we must give ourselves space to- whether of our own lives or those we are in community with. We do this through poems, song, cackling.... howling... daddying and mothering each other up. I wish for the concern for safety, physical, emotional and spiritual, to be extinguished with a new reality where peace is truly and deeply possible as god damn delicious and sacred birthright. To all my fam who have had to translate, hide, or lose a part of themselves because the possibility of their expansion shatters too many painful systems worth abolishing and thereby threatens their survival ... I love you & let’s continue to fight, poem, and sing our way to change.

Ive been thinking about the responsibility of praying to those we must undead name.

Those who were misrepresented in their obituaries. May we release the trans spirits stuck between heaven and earth, who need the extra “push” to find their peace and move upward. The reality of the loss of trans life, which happens, deeply, in Vancouver, must be acknowledged by the entirety of the city. And the people who have gone missing. I think it’s important for us to gather the names, if such a list exists in Vancouver please let me know. But for now, we held our ceremony and I am unbelievably honoured to cofacilitate.... I am blessed to have a chosen family, built by necessity, that is queer for queer endlessly that expands outside of the material reality of who was around the Sacred fire we held. In the necessity of it there is pain- but in the helping each other rise and get through- there is a possibility that we protect and nurture.

Anyways love trans people this week and forever, and definitely give your money to unhoused and housing insecure trans people- a lot of it.

Love and love and love on the dedication to the gathering and expression & rising above all the limitations preventing both (by design) - toward more and more and more trans love, prayer, faith
