POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s been two days since our office hosted our second annual Professional Pregame, an event I envisioned to connect first year students with @dsucareerservices, successful alumni, and other students in an intentional, fun, and engaging way.

It’s been two days, and our office has been buzzing with freshmen stopping by. Panelists have been sharing about the DM’s, texts, and emails received from students who reached out that connected with them at the event. Students have started to take action on their resumes and booking appointments.

For me, this is exactly what it’s all about. Impact.

Earlier impact. The earlier we get them to take their career journeys seriously, the better prepared they will be for opportunities when they come. Once they secure those early opportunities along their journey, they’ll be better positioned to secure their job offers before graduation.

Maybe it’s just one event, but it’s one event that has the potential to impact their entire career trajectories, and I’m glad that we got to serve them by hosting it. Here’s to an amazing 2026-2027 academic year. This is just the beginning ❤️💙

Purposeful over perfection.

What if the goal isn’t to be perfect—but to be intentional?

We sat the woman behind the podcast; Dr. Yah reminds us that purpose gives direction, while perfection often creates fear. Growth begins when we stop waiting for the perfect moment and start walking in our purpose.

I will forever be steadfast in saying that the foundation for a lot of the reasons why I am the way I am is because of the foundation that @delstateuniv provided. More specifically the Delaware State University College of Business @dsu_cob prepared me not just in the theories but the realities of the business world that I still use to this day. Check out this snippet below from the Beyond the Lecture Podcast host by DSU College of Business and the host @itsdryah

Reminiscing on the excitement of the last few weeks as we closed out the 2026-2027 year with several major celebrations. From Brunch En Blue, to both graduation ceremonies, to attending my first DSU scholarship ball, I feel full.

It’s been such an amazing time seeing and celebrating the success of our graduates, the wins for the university, and taking it all in with those we get to do this work with every single day.

I’m so proud of the class of 2026, and so proud of the work we’re doing to set the next wave of students up for success. ❤️💙

I’m still getting used to sharing more of my story on social media and bringing y’all along for the journey… Sorry for the late post but moments like this deserve to be shared.

Last month, I had the opportunity to speak at my first youth conference and pour into a room full of women, girls, and young ladies about the importance of “Glowing Wherever You Go.” ✨

And whew… if you know, you know….There have been many attempts to dim my light, steal my joy, count me out, and define me by moments I had to survive through. But despite the noise, despite the opinions, despite the obstacles… I kept showing up. I kept glowing. Not because life was easy, but because God carried me through every season that tried to break me.

Being able to teach these young ladies that their light is valuable regardless of what people say, think, or do meant more than I can ever explain. We talked about ways to protect their confidence, nurture their identity, and remind themselves who they are during the moments life tries to make them forget. 🫶🏽

And what made this moment even more special? The conference took place at my beloved alma mater, THE University of Maryland Eastern Shore 🩶 A true full circle moment. To stand in those rooms years later alongside women who poured into me so deeply as an undergrad student… and with a mentor who has basically become family… is something I’ll never take for granted.

Insurmountable gratitude for opportunities like these. This was my first time speaking at a youth conference… but it definitely won’t be my last 💫

Yesterday I had the pleasure of going back to my Alma mater @delstateuniv and my college @dsu_cob to finish out season 4 as a guest of Beyond the Lecture LIVE podcast recording. This series now in its 4th season goes beyond traditional lectures by engaging students in discussions with industry leaders, innovators, and thoughts partners.

What an absolute delight it was to not only be a guest but sit across from @itsdryah as she masterfully navigated our conversation and even had some lighting round questions that made me think 🤔‼️.

I will shared the full video later but if you didn’t already know Delaware State is the BEST HBCU 🤷🏽‍♂️🙌🏾.

how do you defeat a man,
that was created by Him who defeated man?

in order to be the man,
you have to fall down & get back on your feet again.

On Monday, March 23rd, I had the opportunity to visit the Washington Commanders headquarters for an HBCU Job Shadowing Day. It was an amazing experience that gave me insight into different career opportunities and opened my mind to new possibilities.

Meeting a DSU alum who works there made it even more special. I’m so thankful to have been one of 10 students selected, and I appreciate @itsdryah for opening that door for me.
