@itsericamarywright directed a segment written by @theanniebond called “Our Precious Babies” that actually predicted some of the issues that affected the legality of IVF in some states. So scary when fiction predicts the future.

GIVE ME AN A Official Los Angeles Premiere @am_cinematheque

@tashalitas dazzled and inspired.

I totally didn’t add myself to this stunning group shot. (I was there in spirit, and in angst).

@harmonicablues CHEESIN OMG SHE’S SO GORGEOUS. She also directed “mediEVIL” and it’s so friggin creepy.

@francescakmaldonado ALSO CHEESIN AND ALSO DROP DEAD DIVINE, like she’s a final girl ripped from the cover of a VHS 90s slasher that she not only survived, but then triumphed in several sequels. She directed “Traditional” which will haunt your nightmares for at least a month.

Don’t believe me? Well, you’ll have to rent GIVE ME AN A on Apple, Amazon, or a VOD platform to find out!!! (Plz plz plz rent GIVE ME AN A on a VOD platform and find out).

I love ✨women✨

Thank you so much Xuanyi Wang for American Cinematheque (@am_cinematheque ) for capturing these photos and making that night so spectacular.

We made videos of how we felt about the Roe v. Wade overturning while we were filming, and it turned into a poster a year later. Everything you do matters. Check out “GIVE ME AN A” on @amazonprime!

🌟 SO!!! ABOUT LAST NIGHT! 🌟 About a year and a week ago on June 24, 2022, Roe V Wade was overturned, which shook so many folks to the core and left us sinking with terror, grief, and anger! A week later, 17 filmmakers organized themselves and over 700 other filmmakers, writers, directors, actors, and crew, to create an anthology of 17 films in response in less than 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!! Last October 2022 I got to see all of our work on screen during the Los Angeles premiere! 🥹Throughout 2023, those same writers and directors and producers have been tirelessly traveling the world to film festivals and to make this film seen!!!!!! ❤️‍🔥 AND Last night, a year and 6 days after Roe V Wade was overturned and almost a year since we’ve filmed on set, I nostalgically stood on stage next to those same folks and honored @givemeanafilm officially being released and available for the WORLD to see!!!!!!!

This movie is intentionally meant to spark conversations about the dire need for reproductive and abortion rights, resources and access!!!! And that includes alll genders!!!!! And wow, did I have the immense privilege to not only stand next to the legendary @iamginatorres during the Q&A, but to also feel uplifted by the visionary of this film @tashalitas and my loving writer and director @meganrosati to engage in discourse and speak on Trans rights in relation to abortion and reproductive health and access! Thank you both for advocating for my voice so much! 🧡

To see this on the big screen again and also now see it available on streaming is mind boggling and I implore you all to watch this film this extra long weekend, SHARE, and engage in these conversations!! While it somewhat feels uneasy to celebrate a milestone during such political turmoil on our own bodily rights, it feels important to celebrate the hard work every single person on this film contributed to MAKE NOISE!

@givemeanafilm is available NOW on Prime, AppleTV, Vudu, and Google Play! Thank you to @xyzfilms

Give Me An A depicts the horrors of a Post-Roe America, starring folks such as Alyssa Milano, Sean Gunn, Molly Quinn, Jason George, Gina Torres, and more on IMDb
