Honored to be serving as a judge for this year’s Work the Runway with @okgoodwill This year is especially exciting as Goodwill Central Oklahoma celebrates 90 years by launching its very first student designer competition featuring incredibly talented fashion students from the University of Central Oklahoma. Over the last several months, these emerging designers have transformed Goodwill sourced materials into original runway looks inspired by this year’s Glam for Good theme. It’s been incredible to see how far they’ve come from the first sketches! I can’t wait to see their final collections hit the runway on August 7th and help celebrate the next generation of fashion talent. The winning student will receive a $10,000 scholarship and a feature in Luxiere Magazine, while guests at Work the Runway will vote live on the People's Choice Award, earning another designer a $5,000 scholarship 🥳💙👏 #WorkTheRunway #GlamForGood #goodwillokc #FashionForGood #SustainableFashion

Meet the faces of the judges for Work the Runway 2026. 🎉 In September of last year, my friend @melissarichey13 called me to share that they were introducing a student scholarship component to Work the Runway. Students will have the opportunity to source up-cycled materials and design original looks for a chance to win a $10,000 scholarship. She asked if I would serve as a judge—and also help select the panel. I put a lot of thought into choosing people I truly respect. First is Stacy, owner of Luxiere Magazine. She was the very first person to reach out and share my story in a publication. I will never forget her kindness or the way she believed in me early on. She’s incredibly private, but exceptionally talented—and I was so excited when she said yes. @stacydjohnson @luxieremagazine Second is Kortney Hartenstein. Wife of OKC Thunder’s Isaiah Hartenstein, Kortney has her own brand, is a phenomenal model, and does so much for our community. She modeled for a Sydnie Banks shoot last year and was incredibly kind, gracious, and professional. I knew I wanted her on this panel. @kourtney_kellar Last but not least is Jakian. Our businesses really began taking off around the same time. He founded Oklahoma City Cowboys, and the same year I went to New York Fashion Week, he was contacted by Pharrell Williams to have members of his organization walk for Louis Vuitton during Paris Fashion Week. It’s been so special to cheer each other on—and he was an obvious choice. @jakianparks @oklahomacowboys I’m truly honored to be part of this and so proud of the panel we’ve put together for Work the Runway 2026. Thank you, Melissa, for thinking of me. 🤍 Shoutout to @itsjaypack for capturing these moments—and for being patient with 3 out of 4 of us who don’t like to be in front of a camera. ⭐ Meet our Work the Runway Judges! ⭐

Kourtney Hartenstein is a model represented by Select Model Management, whose work spans editorial features and runway presentations. Beyond modeling, she works on the Hartenstein Foundation, which supports families in need by providing resources, fostering community, and advocating for mental health awareness. Based in Oklahoma, Kourtney shares her life with her husband, Isaiah Hartenstein of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and their son.

Jakian Parks is a photographer and documentarian whose practice centers on themes of culture, equestrianism and homage to his native Oklahoma. Rooted in Black portraiture, his work offers a visual lexicon that honors African American identity through an intimate, community-driven lens. Parks seamlessly merges storytelling and documentary approaches to elevate underrepresented narratives, capturing the often-overlooked beauty, complexity and tenacity of Black life in America.

Sydnie Peebles sculptural, hand-stitched handbags have graced the runways of New York Fashion Week and been featured in renowned publications such as Elle UK. Sydnie approaches each bag as a true work of art, with her slogan being, “Fine Art, One Stitch at a Time.” Sydnie resides in Edmond with her husband and four children.

Stacy Johnson is the Founder and Owner of LUXIERE Magazine, a publication dedicated to exploring the intersection of Oklahoman culture, lifestyle, and fashion through a contemporary lens. With a vision rooted in storytelling and elevated aesthetics, Johnson has cultivated a platform that highlights both emerging and established voices, shaping a narrative that reflects modern luxury with depth and intention. HUGE shoutout to @itsjaypack, @ljbeaute and @patrickalewisstylist for working with us on this photo shoot! 👏
Don’t forget to save the date, August 7th! 💙
