Somehow, even the third time around, I’m still completely in awe of what our bodies are capable of. Birth is powerful, empowering and truly incredible.🕊️

I left out timestamps + a lot of the little details, so if you want a full sit-down birth story, comment below and I’ll film one 🤍

I always pictured our kids being close in age. I thought that was the plan. I thought that’s what we wanted.

But life had other plans. A few moves. A deployment. Building a home. A year of trying. One heartbreaking loss.

Looking back now, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Watching Rhodes come into a family with an almost 8-year-old and a 6-year-old has been nothing short of magical. Seeing them love him, care for him, and step into their roles as big siblings has been one of the greatest gifts.

And this time around, I get to experience motherhood differently too. I’m older, a little wiser, more patient, and so much more present than I was years ago.

If you’re worrying that the age gap between your kids is “too big,” I hope this reminds you that every family unfolds in its own time. Sometimes the story you didn’t plan ends up being even more beautiful than the one you imagined. 🤍

9 years of marriage, 17+ years of growing up together.

We’ve experienced so much life side by side—Somewhere along the way, we both changed in all the best ways. We learned how to encourage each other, lean on each other, and keep choosing each other through every new season.

I’m so grateful for the life we’ve built, the family we’ve created, and the man I’ve had beside me through it all.

Happy Anniversary babe, I love you & can’t wait for this next chapter together 🤍 @itskyleoconnell
