Dear Friends & Neighbors,
You all have been so accepting and cool, I cannot thank you enough for welcoming LAMB to Argyle Street. 🙏
Over the last 3 months this tiny side-hustle has grown into a full-time operation. At this stage, LAMB reminds me of a potted plant. Our Lincoln Square and Albany Park neighbors have been watering it all summer and it has outgrown its container! The processes and space that I’m working with are at what feels like the limits of their capabilities. Additionally, I need to find a space where I can sell bread during the winter. As a solo act, I do not have the bandwidth to get beyond these growth edges while also baking for LAMB so I must take a short seasonal break. Next Thursday, September 17th (4-7pm) will be the last day of operation before I hit pause.

Thank you all again for being so welcoming of this experimental micro bakery! It’s been an incredible summer and I’m excited to come back to you all with more bread and updates on the evolution of LAMB.

Richard Yu-Tang Lee is an emerging Asian American artist. He has worked as an art director and a cook, professional backgrounds that inform his painting practice and have given way to multidisciplinary projects such as the collaborative 4-year-long design, cooking, photography, and performance piece, “Little Brother Chinese Food,” completed in 2025. @littlebrotherchinesefood . Lee just began a new solo culinary performance piece called “LAMB” @lambmicrobakery . Making his museum debut, Lee recently mounted his fifth solo exhibition of paintings and sculpture at the Rochester Museum of Fine Arts titled, “View To A Burnt World.” Lee is scheduled to exhibit with Canadian artists Jennifer Tazewell
Mawby and Biliana Velkova in his hometown of Chicago at the Bulgarca Cultural Center in the summer of 2027.

Richard Yu-Tang Lee is an emerging Asian American artist. Lee uses pattern as a vehicle to describe time, articulating the excellence and fallibility of memory. His work is informed by observation of natural phenomena and an ever-present awareness of the self as “viewer.”

Lee has worked as an art director and a cook, professional backgrounds that inform his painting practice and have given way to multidisciplinary projects such as the collaborative 4-year-long design, cooking, and manufacturing performance piece, “Little Brother Chinese Food,” completed in 2025 (documented @littlebrotherchinesefood on Instagram).

“View To A Burnt World” marks Lee’s fifth solo exhibition and third time showing in New Hampshire. Lee is scheduled to exhibit in his hometown of Chicago at the Bulgarca Cultural Center in the summer of 2027.

Friends! It’s been too long! Little Brother Chinese Food co-founder @itsmerichardlee has been busy in his art studio and we’re thrilled to share that he’s opening a small but mighty group show in the Chelsea, Manhattan area at @studioninedee with Canadian artists Biliana Velkova and @jenniferjeanmawby on December 4th, 2pm-8 pm Continuing to explore dough as a medium, Richard will be preparing fresh bread for the event inspired by works in the show.
