Happy Summer Solstice and Midsummer! Taking it way back to A Midsummer Night’s Dream Ball in 2024. A truly magical evening where so many people became friends! This was my second event and it felt like it wasn’t going to happen. Trying to sell a fantasy event in 3 months during Georgia Renaissance Festival season was challenging (first lesson learned) and it seemed like the theme wasn’t reaching the right audience. 3 weeks before our original date right around actual Midsummer, I was told the Juneteenth Festival was moving to the park right by the venue that weekend. I had to make the very very difficult decision to move the date to July out of respect for the festival and to avoid any possible logistical challenges. Crazily enough, the guest count ended up being a little higher than it was before, even with cancellations, and the temperature was about 7-10 degrees cooler on the date in July than it was on the original date. This was the first event I lost money on, but it was also the first where I saw a glimpse of where we were going- creating a true community ✨💖✨ Please admire @itsmollybelle in her dreamy costume contest-winning ensemble that she made herself. One of the most important parts of growing MindFlowers into the brand we want to be is having way more exposure in as many places as possible. Whether she’s creating one of the incredible garments she wears, or setting a picnic at the park, there’s always a sense of magic, softness, and whimsy in her world. We love Molly’s fairy home and aesthetic! it was an absolute joy to see our Empire Portal light switch in her space. It fits like a mirror from a dream, and though so much of what we show are bright, vibrant colorful color combos, we love the fact you can make our pieces any way you want!
