The slow moments 🤍

These are the photos I’ll look at for the rest of my life. Millie coming into the world, captured exactly as it felt. Quiet, overwhelming, emotional (so many tears) and everything more.

In a world that moves so fast, there is nothing I love more than having these moments frozen in time. So grateful I chose to have them photographed professionally.

Sydney, you were absolutely glorious 🥹

Without a doubt, my favourite race to date 🫦

I’ll be so real - I went into this with a LOT of existential dread about running another marathon only eight weeks after GC and somehow ended up having the absolute time of my life.
I laughed, cried, danced, high-fived strangers and spent most of the 42.2km with the biggest smile on my face.🕺🏽

I’m just so bloody proud of my body. An asthma attack at 2km wasn’t exactly the start I had planned, but the team got me sorted at 11km and we were back in business. Sydney was hotter, hillier and a much tougher course than Gold Coast, yet I ran it at almost the exact same relative effort. No PB, but seeing how much stronger my running has become in eight weeks is pretty bloody cool. 😎

And THE VOICE NOTES! 🥹 One every kilometre from the people I love. I was cackling, crying and smiling like an idiot. I felt so loved, seen and supported the entire way.

More than anything, Sydney confirmed how much I love this. The deep training blocks, the structure, the commitment, being pushed beyond what I think I can do and then getting to see all that work come together on race day. 😍

Marathons take A LOT 🙈
For 16+ weeks, training basically dictates your life and your friends accept they’ll see you after race day 😂 But if you know me, you know how satisfying it is to me about giving that much to a goal 🥵

Forever grateful to @the_performance_project_ and @mattb_performance. I came to TPP wanting a coach who would push me further than I push myself, (which is already a fairly unreasonable benchmark). But I found exactly that, plus an incredible community and a group of super humans who constantly inspire me! ❤️

A whole history of avoiding cardio and now I’m wondering how far I can actually take this 👀

For now, my beaten up nervous system and I are VERY happily resting.

After that… we have some BIG plans ❤️

The best month of our lives 🩷🌷

Running has given us a lot.

More than we probably ever could have imagined. Friendships, opportunities, places to go, people to meet and a community we’re incredibly proud to be part of, all across Australia 🫂

Running has also allowed us to build a business that now gives 60 people a place to work around something they love. So whenever we get the chance to give something back to the community that’s given us so much, we feel pretty lucky.

Sometimes that means putting on a run purely for community. Sometimes it’s opening the doors, bringing people together, feeding a few hundred runners, giving away some gear or just creating an excuse to hang out.

We don’t take for granted that people choose to run with us, shop with us, show up to the events we host and continue to make Pace part of their running lives.

A little look back at some of the fun we’ve had this year. Plenty more to come 🩵
