Some places remain a home long after we have left them. Sectie-C was where my practice began. It was a place where I worked, experimented, struggled, grew, and shared many meaningful moments with wonderful people. Although I no longer live in Eindhoven, the place and its community continue to shape who I am and how I work. This year marks the 10th year of my practice, so it feels especially meaningful to present my work again where it all started. As I could not return to Eindhoven myself, the artwork travelled there in my place. The sculpture carries itself, changes hands, changes form, and briefly finds a place before moving again. Its journey reflects something of my own relationship with Sectie-C. I may no longer reside there, but a part of me remains with the place and the people who once made it feel like home. A sculpture for a nomad, unable to fully settle down amid the uncertainty of the next move. Through transition, the material, the form, and the artist are shaped. <Sculpture for a Nomad> newspaper, hanji and cardboard parcel boxes Stacked by Corradino Garofalo & Phoebe Ho 2026 ‘A Home of Many Addresses’ The Pool, Sectie-C, Eindhoven 17 Oct - 8 Nov 2026 Dutch Design Week 2026 Curation | Corradino Garofalo @corradinogarofalo_ Exhibition Design | Phoebe Zoe H @itsphorreal Copywriter | Rob van Kaam Graphic Identity | Kaia Lee @toast.kaiajam.toast Production | Rudi Boiten Production assistance | Vittore Vermeulen @vittorevermeulen Lara van der Poel @lariari.nl @sectie_c @dutchdesignweek @the_pool_eindhoven #sculpture #nomad #eindhoven #ddw26 #sectiec

Over the past year, I have been researching cultural constructs closely related to myself. Along the way, I encountered perspectives that saw me as a product of something larger than myself. This led me to explore how the culture I belonged to was formed, how it has been shaped by social and individual influences into what it is today, how it is perceived in other cultural contexts, and how those perceptions, in turn, shape the way I am seen. I wrote about, spoke about, and expressed these experiences through my work. As I received photographs from people around me and used them as source material for my research, I became aware that I could not fully control the consequences of the small social movement my work might create. This meant handling these records and the statements surrounding them with care, while maintaining the anonymity of the sources behind the design elements. When my work received responses or appreciation in ways I had not anticipated, I sometimes found myself questioning my own decisions. At the same time, the range of interest, engagement, and empathy from others gave me confidence that this was an issue worth addressing. I would like to thank everyone who helped make all of this possible. Deeply grateful to @ekwc_oisterwijk for the technical support that enabled me to bring this work into its final form. Thank you for being a collaborator in this process. I would also like to thank my tutors for their candid feedback and generous guidance, which challenged me to grow and develop my practice. @afainadejong @margaweimans @gabriel.a.maher @amna_solati @bureau_lada @bbaietto Photography by @koenvanderkam

A Home of Many Addresses DDW at The Pool | 17/10 - 08/11 Over 15 years Sectie-C has collected countless stories and shaped a lot of minds. It's a place that became a different home for so many people. Current and former residents now shed their light on the one thing every address has: a letterbox. It’s all in transition. That’s what drives, inspires, scares and saves us. For that we need anchor points. Vaults for our emotions and crafts. Some would call it a studio, others an office, atelier or workplace. Some call it home. For people these vaults have doors. For other weighty matters there is another entrance. A gateway of conversations, where the past meets the present. A source of great expectation or life-changing messages. A device to question broader systems of distribution and ownership. This exhibition celebrates the transition of Sectie-C. Specially selected voices from the terrain’s former and current inhabitants share their ephemeral heritage. Shaped by success, failure, movement and stability. Their personal vision on a common subject, gathered from across the world. A meeting point for people who may never directly encounter one another, becomes a fine balance between clarity and unexpectedness. Questioning connection, belonging and keeping something precious safe. Nestled in the walls, freestanding on the streets, or hanging overhead like nests in a tree. How do you envision…letterbox?
