Pray to your spouses strengths!

The Bible presents marriage as more than a legal covenant—it is a spiritual partnership. One of the greatest ways a husband or wife can love their spouse is by regularly bringing them before God in prayer. While Scripture never commands, “Pray for your spouse every day,” it repeatedly teaches principles that make it clear this is part of biblical love.

1. Pray because your spouse is “one flesh” with you

Jesus affirmed God’s design for marriage:

“So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

— Matthew 19:6

When you pray for your spouse, you are praying for someone whose life is spiritually joined to yours. Their victories bless your home, and their struggles affect you as well.

2. Husbands are called to spiritually nurture their wives

Ephesians teaches that Christ’s love is the model.

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her…to make her holy.”

(Ephesians 5:25–27)

Christ continually intercedes for His people. A husband imitates Christ not only by sacrificing for his wife but also by praying for her spiritual growth.

Pray that she would:

* Grow in wisdom.
* Know God’s love deeply.
* Walk confidently in her calling.
* Be protected from discouragement and temptation.
* Experience joy in Christ.

3. Wives can strengthen their husbands through prayer

Proverbs describes an excellent wife:

“The heart of her husband safely trusts her…”

(Proverbs 31:11)

One of the greatest expressions of being trustworthy is faithfully taking your husband before God.

Pray that he would have:

* Courage.
* Integrity.
* Wisdom.
* Purity.
* Strength under pressure.
* Humility.

Rather than focusing only on changing his behavior, pray that God transforms his heart.

Amen!

Praise the Lord. Through all things. Even the losses. Did you know……

the idea of gratitude, praise, and giving shift the mind away from negativity because the brain has difficulty sustaining certain opposing emotional states at the same time.

When you intentionally focus on thankfulness, praise, or generosity, your attention is directed toward what is good, meaningful, or valuable.
* Negative thought patterns (self-criticism, resentment, fear, hopelessness) require attention and mental repetition to stay active.
* By repeatedly practicing gratitude or praise, you strengthen a different mental pathway.

Philippians 4:8 teaches believers to focus on things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise.
* Psalm repeatedly shows people praising God while still in hardship, not because everything is easy.
* 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 says to “rejoice always,” pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances.

Say Amen if you believe.
