Happy National Best Friends Day!

Impossible to narrow it down to just one, but I guess that’s a good problem to have.

So grateful for these besties (and a few others I’m missing selfies for, looking at you @andrea_the_editor ), who most consistently show up in my DM’s , who make me laugh, who show up when it matters the most, who grow me guide me teach me inspire me. Who are always up for some shenanigans. And who make this life the most interesting and fun.

Most importantly, we don’t hide or hold back from one another, not even the strangest, messiest bits. And that’s what makes our friendships all the more extraordinary.

Together we laugh, we cry, we challenge and support one another. It’s such a great gift to know you. Thank you for being a great friend. 💞💕💗

Stop waiting.

Waiting for the perfect time.

Waiting to feel ready. Good enough.

Waiting until all of your ducks are in a row.

We ‘wait’ when something is important. I get it!

But what this was the season you stopped waiting — and started choosing yourself instead?

Ready to get your brave on?

International Women’s Day is coming up in March 🌸
And the conversations behind it deserve more than a single day.

Our roster includes women leading powerful conversations across industries, experiences, and perspectives. Their voices continue to shape stages, teams, and organizations throughout the year, and this is only part of a much broader lineup of talent.

March 8 is a reminder.
The impact goes well beyond the date.

Three days and four nights in Halifax for the @canadianspeakers Convention—and it felt like a reunion, a reset, and a reminder all at once.

Back here for the first time in 20+ years… after an internship that helped launch me into my news career long ago…

I finally met people IRL I’ve only known through screens.
Made new friends who already feel like old ones.
Learned more than my brain could possibly process (in the best way).

And yes—finally ate the lobster I missed out on last time 🦞

Thank you to all my friends at the CAPS Prairie Shield chapter who encouraged me to attend and went above and beyond to make the trip unforgettable.

Grateful for the conversations, the coast, and the kind of community that reminds me why I love constantly improving on my work and craft.

The 2025 @canadianspeakers Convention in Halifax was incredibly special.

A speaker showcase I was proud to be part of (@kimatlimelight 👋🏼), a Halifax adventure, and three days surrounded by people who make this community feel like home.

To everyone I shared a laugh, a cry, a story, a stage, a round of beer pong, an energy stick, a bus ride, a bit, a donair, a lobster, a floor chat, or a moment of serendipity with… thank you. I can’t wait for our next catch-up and the ideas, projects, and friendships that follow…

I often say that being a professional speaker is one of the greatest privileges of my life — using my voice to create positive impact will never be something I take for granted.

This week, I had the joy of being in Halifax for the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) convention, and my heart is truly overflowing. This community is generous, brilliant, talented, and deeply inspiring. I’m still processing all of the incredible insights, conversations, and learning — and I’m so grateful I was able to reconnect with long-time friends and build new relationships.

In this business, it’s essential to be surrounded by people you trust — people you can learn from, stand beside, support, and be vulnerable with. That’s what makes us stronger, both individually and collectively.

A huge thank you to the extraordinary leaders and speakers who poured their hearts into making this convention such a meaningful and memorable experience. Your hard work in every moment, both behind the scenes and on stage, made all the difference.

We truly are stronger together.
