Earlier this year I got to watch @oldstageroadshort at the @watsonvillefilmfest 🫶🏻 I am so grateful to have worked with such an amazing cast and crew. Old Stage Road is a film that I’m truly proud of, and I’m so thankful for all the fun memories I made while shooting. A huge thank you to @ivanoftheramirez for his incredible insight and guidance as a director, as well as @piojoguero for being so supportive on set. This film pushed me as an actor in the best way possible, and the talented people around me made every moment of the journey worthwhile.

Screening #11 for El Regreso Del Miedo with the WATSONVILLE FILM FESTIVAL!!! 💚 🎬

On this day, I had the honor of bringing my dad for his very first festival screening for my project. Although every screening has been special, having my dad and a Latino community watch my film meant the world to me.

Throughout the course of this project, the Watsonville Film Festival team have supported us through their Cine Se Puede grant program, amplifying my voice as a first time director.

It was such an amazing time reuniting with my Salinas film community. Thank you to everyone that shared kind words about the project ❤️ LOS AMO MUCHO MUCHO MUCHO MUCHO

I love a night shoot ✨ I also love a collaboration among friends. Throw back to that one summer we stayed up long nights and days to make a horror film. It was my first time working with a boom op, and having @ritanimal there made the gig so much more fun and creative. Thank you @ivanoftheramirez and @tgwtcitc for inviting us into the mix and for the whole team who brought it all together.

Don’t miss the premiere of Old Stage Road at this year's @watsonvillfilmfest 🎬

Huge Congratulations to director David Alvarado and crew, including our Watsonville Film Festival alumni — Brenda Avila-Hanna, Hector Aguila, Megan Martinez Goltz, and Ivan Ramirez — on the Sundance premiere of “American Pachuco: The Legend of Luis Valdez” @luisvaldezdoc

This powerful documentary celebrates the legacy of playwright and director Luis Valdez, a foundational figure in Chicano theater and film whose work challenged norms and expanded American storytelling. “American Pachuco: The Legend of Luis Valdez” premiered today in the U.S. Documentary Competition at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, a major milestone for these talented filmmakers and for stories rooted in our community.

We’re so proud to see WFF alumni continue to make waves on the world stage and spotlight voices that reflect the depth and resilience of our shared experiences. This moment belongs to all of us who believe in the power of film to shape culture and inspire change! 💚

On set, every problem is an opportunity in disguise.

When the light’s fading and money’s tight, that’s when cinema magic happens.

An assistant camera operator becomes a stand-in, a grip becomes a light stand—whatever it takes. Lol

Because at the end of the day, it’s all about the shot that serves the story.

Nothing else matters.

True creation comes from showing others how to perceive reality with fresh eyes.

Great artists don’t merely entertain—they challenge the boundaries of our perception and expand our consciousness.

What you call “seeing” is often just recognition. Art disrupts these patterns, forcing genuine observation.

Ask yourself: Are you consuming art, or allowing it to teach you how to truly see the world again?
