There are moments when you know you’ve reached the edge of what you can do alone.
You can keep thinking about the man you want to become.

Or you can enter a space that asks you to actually meet him.

This September, Rites of Passage meets The Initiatress in Portugal.
Men and women entering their own initiatory work, separately, before coming together.

There is something powerful about what becomes possible when the masculine and feminine meet after each has been willing to do their own work.
We are now filling the final spaces for Rites of Passage.
If you’ve been watching, considering it, feeling something in you respond to this work, this is the moment to decide.

16 to 21 September, Portugal.

Comment PORTUGAL and we’ll send you the details.

WHY “GAY WASHING” SEPARATES MEN

There is a young boy in many of us that was taught that his softness was something shameful.

Something to be hidden.

As a defence mechanism to keep him safe.

To be called gay, or a girl was to be avoided at all costs, because if you weren’t a boy, that meant you were an outcast from your peers.

Well that gay washing still happens in adulthood.

I used to do it, and there’s still a part in f me that comes up when I’m uncomfortable with something soft in another.

And rather than judge this, we can use it to transform our relationships with other men.

To unite with men and create more strength, rather than separate and create more division and pain.

In Rites of Passage (starting on 16 Sept), we learn how to connect with other men in our parts that have been locked away, and how this makes us even more masculine, not less.

First dub full on the floor since my ACL injury. I’m beyond proud and grateful for this. I’m feeling so powerful right now, and it’s such an incredible feeling. ❤️

It’s crazy to think that exactly a year ago, I was lying in bed in immense pain. Looking back at how far I’ve come honestly feels unreal.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s helped me with my technique and supported me through the mental blocks. I genuinely couldn’t have gotten here without you.

Once I get my flexibility back, I’ll start saving for a recovery sampler. 💪🏽‼️

One of the biggest mistakes I made as a facilitator was believing a breakthrough could be encouraged before a man’s body was ready for it.

The room wanted something to happen.

I wanted something to happen.

So I pushed.

He opened.

From the outside, it looked powerful. People would probably have called it a breakthrough.

Looking back, I wouldn’t.

It was overwhelm.

His body had opened because it no longer had the capacity to hold everything together, not because it finally felt safe enough to let go.

That experience changed the way I facilitate.

I stopped measuring transformation by how emotional a man became.

I became far more interested in whether his nervous system had enough safety and capacity to move at its own pace.

Real change can’t be forced.

It can’t be performed.

And it certainly can’t be rushed to satisfy the expectations of a room.

Sometimes the deepest shift happens when you realise you don’t have to push through yourself anymore.

That you can stay with what is happening in your body without abandoning yourself to get somewhere.

That is a big part of the work we do inside Rites of Passage.

Not pushing you towards a breakthrough.

Creating the conditions where you can meet what is actually there, at the pace your system is ready for.

I used to think rest was something I had to earn.
That first I had to prove myself. Then maybe I could stop.

For years, I built my identity around being the man who could carry everything.
The man who never asked for help.
The man who always had it together.

From the outside, it looked like strength. Inside, it was exhausting.

Then one day, another man looked me in the eyes and said,
“You’ve done enough.”

I felt something break.
Not because of the words.
Because I finally stopped carrying it alone.

Looking back,
I don’t think I was carrying responsibility. I was carrying the belief that if I stopped, everything would fall apart.

I see this pattern in men I work with all the time. They call it responsibility. They call it leadership. They call it being a provider.

Sometimes it’s simply a man who has forgotten what it feels like to be supported.

That’s why brotherhood matters. Not because you need saving. Because you need somewhere you don’t have to pretend that carrying everything alone is strength.

That’s part of why I created Rites of Passage.

For six days in Portugal, you’ll be surrounded by men who are willing to witness you, challenge you, and stand beside you while you put down some of what you’ve been carrying alone.

This was the highlight for me at the European Tantra Festival

Facilitating a lovemaking ritual as an evening ceremony.
Over 100 people in the room.
Activating their lifeforce energy with a partner.

The room was on fire. 🔥
The energetic field was electrified.
When we reached the higher chakras, the field transformed from ecstatic to unity.
I could sense they were tapping into that subtle realm of oneness together.
A sense of recognition of self as the soul essence emerged.

It was breathtaking to witness, feel and hold space for such a deep revelation in the unfolding of creation itsself in that moment in time.

In these quiet moments of oneness, i feel most alive in my soul purpose. The WHY i’m teaching this work. Hell yes!

If you’re curious to experience this field yourself, the next opportunity is just around the corner.

Join us at the Antara Tantra Festival from August 19-23rd.
This edition is going to be a powerhouse.
