We had the pleasure of advising @ivyso.n_ as he licensed two of his artworks for Rituals:
A limited-edition fanzine by @nike documenting global football culture.

The Super Eagles may not have made it to the World Cup, but the Nigerian spirit, stories, and art certainly did.

This fanzine is proof of how far creative work can travel.

I had the incredible opportunity to exhibit my work at the Illustration Bazaar ☆

Three days filled with live drawings, workshops, insightful conversations, and making new friends… the list goes on, and I’m still taking it all in.

I’m so proud to have been part of something this meaningful; a vision that is creating space for digital artists and illustrators to be seen, valued, and celebrated. What I witnessed truly felt like the beginning of something bigger and long overdue.

To the team @theillustrationbazaar well done 👏🏾

Based in Abuja, Sherif Apampa is a multifaceted graphic designer and art director who has spent over five years defining the visual pulse of the contemporary music and lifestyle scenes. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos. This unique academic foundation provides him with a rare perspective on design, allowing him to approach visual art with a blend of architectural precision and unbridled creative intuition.

In his professional capacity, he has demonstrated a remarkable ability to pivot between different aesthetic demands while maintaining a signature “technical polish.” His poster and cover art style is best described as “emotive minimalism meets gritty texture.” Apampa has a gift for using negative space to draw the viewer’s eye toward a singular, powerful focal point—often a heavily processed photograph or a piece of custom typography. There is a “cinematic” quality to his posters that feels both vintage and futuristic, frequently utilizing grainy overlays and distorted elements to give digital designs a tactile, analog soul that resonates with the raw energy of the entertainment industry.

Furthermore, his style is heavily defined by its typographic character. Unlike designers who rely on standard fonts, Apampa treats text as a living, breathing element of the composition, often stretching, layering, or distressing type to echo the mood of a specific musical track. This creates a “synesthetic” experience where the viewer can almost hear the music through the visual arrangement. This distinctive flair has made him a favorite for creative posters that serve as both promotional tools and standalone pieces of fine art.
