...because those raggedy squirrels keep disturbing my growing carrots and cucumbers to bury their peanuts 🥴

Foundations has been going for 5 months strong, so we thought we would ride the energy of a day off and take a break. No class on Monday, May 25th. We'll see you June 1st at 6am.

International Pilates Day @tabpilates 🤍

Today was a reminder of why this work matters.

Creating space to share the depth of Pilates—not just the exercises, but the system—with those stepping into teaching is something I don’t take lightly. There is a real responsibility in how we pass this work forward.

To the new and developing teachers in the room—your curiosity, your questions, and your willingness to slow down and understand the why behind the work is where this begins.

This is bigger than a single event.
We are building something here in Chicago—

A Pilates Professional Learning Community (PPLC)

A space where instructors are supported, challenged, and developed.
Where we share knowledge, refine our teaching, and stay committed to the integrity of the method.

This is how we move the work forward.

Grateful for everyone who showed up and leaned in. More to come.

Happy #internationalpilatesday

I am a dancer, I am an athlete. I've found the beautiful place between the two, and now

I am a Contrologist.

I am grateful for this journey in Movement. Decades of using and learning my body and appreciating it in times of strength and weakness.
I am humbled to share my knowledge and experience with others in the hopes to show them balance and peace from within.

This International Pilates Day I reflect and I plan. To be my best self in every moment, and forgive myself and learn from myself when I fall short. To remain a student so that I can become a better teacher. I promise to always honor my body, my vehicle for life. I will maintain it like the temple it is. A holy space where my soul resides.

Until it's all said and done, I will live a vibrant, joyful, present life of growth and understanding.

Happy Birthday and Happy New Year, Olusanya ❤️ An amazing son and brother. A caring and honorable grandson. An honest and true friend and teacher. The ancestors are pleased, your destiny is strong.
You are smart and educated, kind and good. Your goodness affects those that you meet. May you always be fortified and surrounded by those that truly love and care about you like a shield; and protected from enemies by forces more powerful than yourself. Long life, joy, and success are yours.
Remember - when things get rough, find something to be grateful for. Hugs are healing, and there is ALWAYS enough love to share. When you don't know what to do, breathe and stretch. Life is to be lived - you can have and do what you want, in good character and confidence.

I was really just messing around, but I've decided to do 15 minutes of hula everyday that I have access to one for 2 weeks. Then, maybe I'll buy a #weightedhulahoop. This is not only great core and oblique work, but hula-ing 🤔 makes me push off of my right foot and into my left hip. This is a fun way of addressing weakness in these areas!!

4 women.
Each revelling in her femininity. Each showing a glimpse of what makes her unique.
4 gowns, each telling a different story to and for each woman. Each filled with personality, experience, and lifetimes.
@KGfitzgerald is an energy, a vibe, a vision come to life. This was a space facilitating a beautiful time of Women uplifting and admiring one another. Good time.
…and I learned what “clock it” means 👌🏾

I had forgotten this song. So much choreography left on the dance floor! I'm glad to have filmed many dances. What a blessing to have valuable recordings of choreography 🌿 #danceteacher #choreographer #motherloverdancer #iyadoespilates
